What a powerful evening of worship, fellowship, and the preached Word. Hearts were encouraged, spirits were lifted, and God was glorified throughout the service.

For those who were unable to attend, we're sharing the live stream from St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church so you can experience this wonderful revival for yourself.

Stay tuned! A full recap of Rev. Franklin Ward's message will be coming soon.

πŸ”₯ BURGESS COMMUNITY REVIVAL πŸ”₯

The Burgess Community churches are coming together once again for a powerful night of worship, fellowship, and revival!

Join us on Wednesday, June 10, as we gather expecting God to move in a mighty way. This special community revival will be hosted by Rev. Everett Plowden and Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, with a dynamic message from our guest speaker, Rev. Franklin Ward of Timberlake Baptist Church.

When the people of God come together in unity, lives are strengthened, faith is renewed, and hearts are encouraged. Whether you are seeking a fresh word, a deeper connection with God, or simply a place to worship alongside fellow believers, this revival is for you.

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." β€” Psalm 133:1

Everyone is welcome. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors and let's experience what God has in store for the Burgess Community.

Please note: Due to a scheduling adjustment, Rev. Franklin Ward of Timberlake Baptist Church will now be serving as our guest speaker for this week's Burgess Community Revival. We are grateful for Rev. Ward's willingness to step in and share the Word, and we look forward to welcoming Pastor Ronnie Gilliard at a future revival date.

Who says you can't enjoy church, smile, and have a little fun? 😊

Today we switched things up and caught people coming out of church, asking them one simple question:
"What did you learn at church today?"

Some shared powerful takeaways, while others before knowing there was a question, just struck a pose for the camera! πŸ“ΈπŸ˜‚

I have to admit, I really enjoyed this change of pace. It was a beautiful reminder that church is not only a place of learning and spiritual growth, but also a place of joy, fellowship, and genuine connection.

Thank you, Pastor Gilliard and Apostle Cheryl, for the inspiration!

Now let's see who was really paying attention... πŸ‘€

Drop a comment and tell me: What did you learn in church today?

πŸŽ₯ The full Sunday recap will be posted no later than Tuesday evening. Stay tuned.

As Director Donald Gilliard was introduced to the audience, the crowd rose to their feet in a well-deserved standing ovation.

Some people receive applause for what they've accomplished. Others receive applause because of what they've overcome.

To know Mr. Gilliard's story is to know that God is still in the miracle-working business. His journey is a living testimony of God's grace, mercy, and keeping power. Through trials that could have broken him, God sustained him. Through circumstances that could have taken him out, God brought him through.

On this evening, the standing ovation wasn't just for the director of God's Trombones. It was for a man whose life declares, "Nobody but God."

What a blessing to witness him lead such a powerful production and continue using his gifts to glorify the One who carried him every step of the way.

Now that's a testimony worth standing for. ❀️🎺

🎺 God's Trombones: A Night to Remember Recap🎺 So here it is.

What an extraordinary evening as Sweet Gilliard Productions brought to life James Weldon Johnson's God's Trombones: Seven Negro Sermons in Verse.

Through powerful spoken word, anointed preaching, and soul-stirring music, ministers from diverse backgrounds came together to honor the rich tradition of biblical storytelling and proclamation. The production beautifully demonstrated that while God's Trombones was inspired by the African American preaching tradition, the Gospel message belongs to all who proclaim Christ.

From "The Creation" to "The Crucifixion," from Noah's obedience to Moses' call for freedom, and from the Prodigal Son's return home to the solemn reminder of Judgment Day, each presentation carried the audience on a spiritual journey through Scripture.

Special presentations included:

β€’ "Listen, Lord – A Prayer" – Rev. Franklyn Ward
β€’ "The Creation" – Pastor Percy Strickland
β€’ "The Crucifixion" – Apostle Cheryl Tabit-El
β€’ "Noah Built the Ark" – Prophet James A. Graham Jr.
β€’ "Go Down Death – A Funeral" – Pastor Ronnie A. Gilliard
β€’ "The Prodigal Son" – Rev. Barryon Small
β€’ "Let My People Go" – Rev. Quinton Graham
β€’ "The Judgment Day" – Rev. Richard Williams Jr.

The musical selections woven throughout the evening added depth and emotion to every sermon, creating an unforgettable worship experience.

A heartfelt thank you to Director Donald Gilliard, Sweet Gilliard Productions, every participating minister, musician, vocalist, volunteer, and attendee who helped make this event a tremendous success.

This was more than a production. It was a celebration of faith, worship, heritage, unity, and the timeless power of God's Word.

"Let the Church Say Amen."
