Temple Shalom of Myrtle Beach is committed to be a leading temple for Reform Jews and others who seek to develop and enhance their Jewish identity through worship, education, and cultural programs, social interaction, concern for the State of Israel, and community involvement. Temple Shalom warmly welcomes any Jewish person regardless of age, marital status, intermarriage, or gender.

Friday evening Shabbat services are offered each week at 7:30 PM. Saturday morning Shabbat service is offered at 10:30 AM several times a month. Please see the calendar on our website for dates. High Holiday services and other holiday observances will be listed on the Temple Shalom calendar on the website. Temple Shalom uses the Reform prayer book Mishkan T'filah as our siddur. The service is read in both English and Hebrew. Services are held at 4023 Belle Terre Blvd. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

The book club will be reading "Good Harbor" by Anita Diamant next. The next meeting is in October. Both the Horry County Memorial Library and the Brunswick County, NC, have this book.

It's never too early to contact our book maven to make reservations for lunch. She can also tell you where we will eating and meeting. Join us for a lovely afternoon!

NOTE: NO meeting in September due to the holidays.

Temple Shalom will have services this week on both Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29 at the usual times (see calendar pinned above).

NON-MEMBERS, please note you must be vetted before you are allowed to enter. The procedure is pinned next to the calendar above the posts. Please allow us time to reach out to you after you complete the process. Once you are vetted, a one-time process, you will be warmly welcomed!

There will be NO Friday night services this week due to President Trump's visit to Myrtle Beach and expected traffic issues as a result. We look forward to seeing everyone next week!

Friday night services will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night. There is no Saturday service.

If you have never attended our services, please note that you must be vetted by completing the process described above the posts. If you just show up, we will not be able to allow you to enter. But once vetted (a one time process), we will welcome you warmly.

REMINDER FOR MEMBERS. It's not too early to volunteer for the many events we will hold during the HIgh Holidays. Many hands make work light--and it's fun to work with our friendly congregation.
Also, if you plan to attend the Break Fast or other events that require planning ahead, please let our president know as soon as possible.

It's not too late to join the Book Club in reading "Have a Little Faith," by Mitch Albom. A very short, but very moving book. Unfortunately, Horry County Public Library does not have a copy of this book, but it should be available elsewhere.
