We are called to rightly divide the Word of God… not be divisive with it!

God’s Word was never given to validate our opinions. It was given to transform our lives.

But we’ve gotten comfortable quoting Scripture without submitting to it. Using it to win arguments instead of letting it correct our hearts.

Truth doesn’t need our spin. It requires our surrender!

If the Word only confronts others and never confronts you… you’re not handling it rightly.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal where you’ve been using the Word instead of being transformed by it 💜

I am so thankful Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the glory and the lifter of my head. He is my rock, my fortress, my sword and shield. In Him, I find peace and rest. I am conforted, protected and safe. Most of all, I am loved.

Has someone intentionally hurt you through strategically secret plans, lies and deception? Did their actions compromise and hurt you? Are they celebrating the success of their plots against you while mocking or shaming you? Are they defaming you to others?
May God have mercy on them.
God sees and knows everything. He is all knowing - omniscient, all powerful - omnipotent and all present - omnipresent. Everyone will be held accountable for their actions.
His word is true. He hears the cries of His sons and daughters when they have been wronged and He does answer. Everyone will eventually reap what they sow.
Be encouraged.

“He who sows iniquity will reap sorrow,
And the rod of his anger will fail.”
Proverbs .22.8 NKJV

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice,
And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah”
Psalm 3.3-4 NKJV

This morning, a beautiful sunrise was on display in shades of red.
I attempted to capture this with photos. The beauty my natural eyes saw and the images captured by my camera were entirely different.
Thinking: When it comes to God, there is so much more to Him than we realize. We only see and know a small fraction of all He is to us and all He has in store for us. Our finite minds have little comprehension of His eternal excellent greatness.
What a day it will be when we see Him face to face as He is in all of His beauty and splendor!
🕊️🙏🏾❤️😍

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of manThe things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
- 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV -

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
- 1John.3.2 NKJV -

A Pecular Day

Yesterday was a “peculiar day” for me from sunrise to sunset.
While I welcomed every unique and beautiful detail of the day, I was also reminded of the challenges-turned-opportunities to be ‘refined’:
How much I have ‘grown up’ from my life changes and how “fine tuning” of my character is a perpetually exponential process.
To God be all the glory.

“Father, please continue to show me daily how to respond to others with the love and grace You show me daily. Let it be reflected in my voice and how I sound when I respond to others. ‘Fine tune’ and ‘refine me’ for Your glory. Amen.”

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”
- Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV -

Listen and Pay Attention.

When the Holy Spirit shows you something “concerning” about someone. Pay close attention and listen to Him.
When this happens, be polite yet guarded. In some instances, He may have you to refrain from initiating or reciprocating (what may appear to be well-intended) casual contact with the individual such as handshakes, hugs, etc.
Ask Him to first search your heart in case you may have any underlying issues with or about the person.
Next, ask Him for His direction on how you should pray for them.

Note: There were instances when the Holy Spirit cautioned me about individuals or situations. Whenever I was oblivious of His warning, it always resulted in spiritual consequences. I know now to pay attention and to heed His guidance.)
It is also important to be protective of your personal space- naturally and spiritually.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
- Eph.6:12 NIV -

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
- Matthew 10:16 NKJV -

Friends and Fools.

A recent business conversation brought to mind a pearl of wisdom shared with me from a church mother 35 years ago:
“Friends will fight. Fools will fallout.”

This phrase can apply to other aspects of people interactions as well. Whether it is family, friends, business associates, church members, etc.:
“People will argue, disagree and have heated discussions. Fools will fallout - they will be unforgiving and hold grudges.”

Agree to disagree about anything. However, when doing so, be sure to end the interaction cordially and peacefully.

“Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.”
- Ephesians 4:26-27 NKJV -

“Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
- Luke 17:3-4 NKJV -

God Is The Eternal Embodiment Of Trust.

In the third hour of the morning, I am understanding this:
It is easier for me to trust God and His word for and about everything, and anything, than it is for me to figure out every aspect of life on my own.
He is God all by Himself. He is true. He is infinite and the eternal embodiment of trust.
~ Dr. Kimberly R. Griffith Lewis ~

“As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”
- Psalm 18.30 - NKJV

Time vs Eternity

Time is filled with swift transitions. We all know this because we know of loved ones and friends who have passed away. People are transitioning from life daily.
The difficult question we ask now is were they ready when they transitioned? Were they ready for what they would face once their earthly bodies ceased to exist?
The Bible tells us that after death is judgment.
We have choices:
God or Satan.
Heaven or Hell.
Perfect love or extreme hate.
Good or evil.
Truth or deception.
Eternal peace or eternal torment.
While living, we make these choices.

For those who have already passed on and have heard that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior to all of mankind, did they accept or reject His love for them prior to their passing?
Most importantly, did they have a genuine relationship with Him? Were they given the last hour opportunity to repent and receive Him into their heart before taking their final breath?
While it is between that individual and God, it is still something to think about and strongly consider.

Do we REALLY understand and comprehend that ETERNITY IS FOREVER? Heaven is our true home and where we belong.
Hell was not created for us. It was created for the devil and his angels. Why would anyone choose to go there?

I have been reading and keeping up with various testimonies of people who had been given an opportunity to visit Heaven and also to see Hell. Many of these testimonies appear authentic to me. They serve as a warning to all of us that there is life after death of the physical body. It is the soul that lives forever.

I would exhort everyone and anyone to desire to know the love, beauty and holiness of our Lord and Savior Jesus who gave his life willingly on a cross at Calvary so that we all could spend eternity with Him.

Our relationship should be more than any fear of ending up in a detrimental place forever. We should want to know and love Jesus because He loves us with a pure love.

In closing, if you have yet to do so, PLEASE ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior while you are still alive and have time. Tomorrow is too late.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
- John.3.16 NKJV -

Lessons and Consequences From The Past.

Many years ago, I took for granted having conveniences.
Everyone periodically makes poor decisions that result in lasting consequences.
I was one of them.
I had plenty of warnings and still thought everything would be fine.
In recent years, I have begun to recognize the consequences of the poor decisions and choices I made decades ago.
I have since repented to God and asked for His forgiveness and He has forgiven me. Yet, I am still experiencing new issues and consequences stemming from many years ago.
Adding to this, my own effort to resolve my issues which only made matters worse.
I am realizing that I needed to totally trust and obey Him from the onset instead of leaning on my own understanding about my situations.
It’s having to walk through this current difficult cycle of issues that is the most gut wrenching and a sure reminder to make wise decisions going forward.
(Situations of my own doing from decades ago? WOW!)

The good news is that through His grace and mercy, I am made FREE!
As I release each situation to Him, I am looking forward to the manifestations of great victory in my life and over my circumstances.

Have I learned my lesson?
I pray that I have.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
- Galatians 6:7 KJV -

“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.”
- Psalm 86.15 KJV -

This is burning in my heart.
Over the last few months, I have listened people professing that Jesus is Lord and speaking praises of how good He is.
Yet some of these same people also embrace a frequent use of a “limited vocabulary” (swearing/cursing/profanity) lewd, sexual humor, and other conduct contrary to what the Bible speaks.

I already know, the life/lifestyle you choose to live is between you and Him.

Ask yourselves these questions:
Is my life setting an example of living for Him?
Do my words and/or actions represent Jesus?
Is He pleased with this?

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”
Psalm 19.14 KJV
