Today's Scripture ~ Romans 12:12, TLB

“Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and prayerful always.”

A Comeback for Every Setback

It’s easy to let difficulties and disappointments cause us to lose our passion in life and stop believing for things to turn around. But if you could see what God has planned for you—the doors He’s going to open, the people you’re going to meet, the giants you’re going to defeat—you would go out each day excited about your future. You’d have the expectancy that allows God to do great things. He has a comeback for every setback, a new beginning for every loss, mercy for every mistake. He’s already planned to bring you out better, to heal you, to promote you.
When you realize this, it changes your perspective. You know there’s not a problem you’ll face where God hasn’t already lined up a solution—the right people, the breaks you need, the favor. There’s not a dream for which God hasn’t already arranged the wisdom, the creativity, the connections, or the funding. When you know that the Most High God has planned out your days, you can be glad and live out of a place of rest.
A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that in the midst of challenges and setbacks, I can rest in the security of knowing that You have a plan that You are working out for me. Thank You that Your favor is upon me. I believe that You will bring me out better than ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today's Scripture ~ 2 Chronicles 27:6, NLT

“King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the LORD his God.”

Keep Being Your Best

What God has planned for you is much bigger than anything you’ve ever dreamed. If God were to show you right now where He’s taking you—the favor, the promotion, the influence—it would boggle your mind. You may not be the most qualified or talented. That’s okay. God’s anointing on you is more important than your talent, your education, or your hard work. You may not see how this can happen. It doesn’t seem possible. But you don’t have to go after the right people, good breaks, contracts, ideas, resources, and influence, trying to make something happen in your own strength or talent. You don’t have to figure it out.
If you just keep being your best right where you are, getting to work on time, doing more than you have to, being a person of excellence and integrity, the right people will find you and the right opportunities will track you down. Keep honoring and obeying God, and you will come into favor, wisdom, and promotion bigger than you ever imagined. Seek God, and the blessings will seek after you.
A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that if I keep being my best and living to honor You in all my ways, You have an abundance of blessings that will track me down. Thank You that I don’t have to live my life trying to make things happen on my own. I declare that I am going to seek You and Your kingdom first. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Saturday, June 22, 2024 - Today's Scripture

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9, NLT
Your Right Time

When you’re doing the right thing but nothing is changing, let me encourage you that the right time is the best time. God can see the big picture, and He is working behind the scenes. He’s lining up the favor and arranging the breaks you need. It’s important to not only trust God, but to trust His timing. Thoughts will tell you, “It’s never going to happen,” but when you come into your right time, all the forces of darkness cannot stop what God has planned. At the right time, your harvest of blessing will come.
Now here’s the key: If there’s a right time, that means any other time is the wrong time. It takes faith and patience to see the promises. God knows what He’s doing. If it hasn’t happened yet, it hasn’t been the right time. But your right time is already on the schedule. In the waiting process, God is doing a work in you, getting you stronger, developing your character. What God is going to do is going to be bigger, better, and more fulfilling than you could imagine.
A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the promise that I will reap a harvest as long as I keep doing what’s right and not lose heart. Thank You that You are working behind the scenes in ways that I could never imagine. I will trust in You whether I’m seeing any signs or not, knowing that it’s going to happen at just the right time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today's Scripture ~ Exodus 7:3–5, NIV

“But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt, he will not listen to you.…And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”

Right Desires

When God told Moses to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelite slaves go free, He also caused Pharoah to harden his heart to say no. God put the desire in him to be stubborn. Why? So that He would receive great glory at Pharaoh’s expense. God went on to perform great miracles so the Egyptian people knew He was the true God. It was a part of His plan so the Israelites could fulfill their purpose.
How much more will God put desires in you so you can fulfill your destiny? You don’t have to fear the future or worry about whether you will be making the right choices. Just keep honoring God. Your part is to commit your ways to Him every morning and say, “Lord, let Your will be done and not mine. I put You first place.” God’s part is to put the right desires in you that are strong enough to where you step into His will. This is how He will lead you into the best plan that He’s already laid out.
A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You are the Almighty God who is working in all things for my good. Thank You that as I put You first, You are putting desires in my heart that will lead me to fulfill my purpose. I will walk in peace, knowing You are taking me down the best path for my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.”

Keep the Negative Out

You may be in a situation that’s unfair, somebody did you wrong, you’re dealing with an illness, or you’ve gone through a loss. You couldn’t control what happened, and you can’t make that go away. You can’t stop the negatives and offenses from coming. You can’t stop people from doing you wrong, and you can’t stop the bad breaks. You could be worried, bitter, and upset. This is when you have to dig down deep and determine to not be controlled by what you don’t have control over. You must realize you control how you respond to it. Don’t give away your power by letting the negative in. You have to say, “I’m keeping my walls up. I’m not letting that negativity into my spirit. I’m going to keep singing praises and thanking God. I will remain at rest, and I know God will fight my battles.” He’ll pay you back for the unfair things. He’ll bring beauty out of those ashes. He will take care of what is trying to stop you.
A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You have power over what I cannot control. When I face problems that seem overwhelming, help me learn to hold my peace and remain at rest. I am believing that You will fight my battles and get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
