Beach City Church Family,

With heavy hearts, we want to share that there will be no service today as we are traveling and mourning the passing of Pastor Rick’s niece, Hope Myers.

On Thursday, March 13th, the world suffered an unimaginable loss as Hope lost her battle with mental illness at just 15 years old. A beautiful soul, she was a former Northstar and the beloved daughter of Deon Myers & Felicia Coan, as well as the cherished younger sister of Destinee & Faith Myers. Hope’s love for life was evident in everything she did—she adored church, animals, gymnastics, music, Taylor Swift, musical theatre, and, most of all, her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. As we walk through this difficult time, we ask that you keep Hope in your heart and lift our family in prayer.

In the meantime, we encourage you to tune in to last Sunday’s message—it is one that will impact and change your life.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Carolina forest community and all those affected by the wildfires. Lord, we ask for Your protection over the people, homes, and wildlife in harm’s way. Calm the flames, bring relief to the weary, and send rain to quench the fires.

We pray for the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers risking their lives to protect our community. Strengthen them, Lord give them endurance, wisdom, and safety as they battle the blaze.

For those who have to evacuate homes, businesses, wrap them in Your comfort. Provide them with the resources they need, and fill their hearts with hope in this moment.

Lord, let Your peace rest upon our hometown. May the community come together in love and strength, leaning on one another and trusting in Your provision. We believe You are our refuge in the storm, our shelter in times of trouble, and we place our faith in You.

In Jesus name, Amen.
