“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

You are not supposed to figure out your path through this life alone. God will guide you throughout all the twists and turns of life. He will protect you and take care of you. He will lead you to a life of freedom and purpose greater than any life you could carve out for yourself.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Allowing God to be your guide begins with a commitment to trust. God cannot lead you where you will not follow. We must grow our desire for God’s instruction and guidance.

If you’ll let him, God will guide you in and out of every circumstance by tugging on your spirit and speaking to your heart. With God in charge of your life you will be perfectly led. He’s given you all you will ever need to go through life with him as your guide. You just have to trust him to lead you better than you can lead yourself.

❤️ NO SUNDAY SERVICE — BUT LET’S STILL BE THE CHURCH ❤️

The Bridge at Christ Church family, a reminder that we will not have our regular Sunday service this weekend due to the Labor Day holiday.

But church has never been limited to a building.

This past Sunday, Pastor Dave Howell challenged us with a message that is especially fitting for a weekend like this:

How we treat people matters.

We were reminded that love is not just something we talk about—it is something people should experience through us.

📖 “Love… is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” — 1 Corinthians 13:5

So while we may not gather at 120 E. Peak Blvd. this Sunday, we want to encourage you to gather somewhere.

Open your home.

Invite family over.

Call a few friends.

Share a meal.

Turn on some worship.

Open the Word together.

Pray for one another.

Talk about what it looks like to truly walk in love with the people God has placed around you.

Maybe your family devotional is as simple as asking:

Can the people closest to me recognize the love of Jesus by the way I treat them?

Talk together about where God may be asking you to grow—in patience, kindness, forgiveness, gentleness, listening, serving, or letting go of old hurts.

And then pray for one another.

This Sunday, let’s turn our homes into places of worship, our tables into places of fellowship, and our conversations into opportunities to encourage one another.

Remember:

We don’t just go to church. We ARE the Church.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, spend meaningful time with the people you love, and wherever you gather—

Make room for Jesus. ❤️

🎶🔥 MIDWEEK MELODY | WORSHIP & WORD WEDNESDAY 🔥🎶

Today’s song: “Honey in the Rock” — Brooke Ligertwood

There are seasons when life feels dry.

Seasons when you are searching for an answer.
Waiting on provision.
Praying for direction.
Trying to figure out where the next bit of strength is going to come from.

And in those moments, God reminds us:

Everything you need is still found in Him.

📖 “But he would feed you with the finest wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” — Psalm 81:16

That is the picture behind this song.

Provision in an unexpected place.
Sweetness in a hard place.
Water where there should be none.
Enough when everything around you says lack.

Sometimes God does not remove the rock.

Sometimes He shows you that there is provision hidden in it.

There is honey in the rock.

There is water in the stone.

There is manna on the ground.

There is purpose in His plan.

There is power in the blood.

There is healing in His hands.

And because of that, we do not have to live consumed by worry.

📖 “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19

The world tells us to look at what we lack.

God tells us to look at Who we have.

You may not see enough in your bank account.

You may not feel enough strength in your body.

You may not know how the situation is going to work out.

You may not understand what God is doing.

But if you have Him, you are not without help.

He is still Jehovah Jireh.
He is still Provider.
He is still Sustainer.
He is still Healer.
He is still Peace.
He is still more than enough.

And this is where faith shifts us from:

“What am I going to do?”

to

“God, I know You have what I need.”

📖 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1

Maybe today you need to stop staring at the rock and start asking God to show you the honey.

Stop focusing only on the obstacle and ask Him to reveal the provision.

Stop allowing the wilderness to convince you that you have been abandoned.

Israel found manna in the wilderness.

Moses saw water come from a rock.

God has never needed ideal circumstances to provide for His people.

And He does not need them now.

So today, declare it over your life:

I will keep looking.
I will keep praying.
I will keep praising.
I will keep trusting.

Because God keeps giving.
God keeps providing.
God keeps moving.
God keeps proving that He is faithful.

And when worry tries to rise, remind yourself:

Everything I need, He’s got.

There is still honey in the rock. 🍯🙌

❤️ SUNDAY RECAP | WALKING IN LOVE ❤️

What a powerful Sunday at The Bridge at Christ Church!

From worship reminding us that God is always on time, He never loses a battle, and He is more than enough, to Pastor Dave Howell’s message, the challenge was clear:

How we treat people matters.

Pastor Dave taught from Ephesians 4, Galatians 5, and 1 Corinthians 13, reminding us that our Christianity is not only revealed by what we know, what we say, or how we worship—it is revealed in how we love people.

📖 “Love… is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” — 1 Corinthians 13:5

Love doesn’t insist on having its own way.
Love doesn’t keep score.
Love isn’t easily provoked.
Love forgives.
Love speaks with grace.
Love makes room for people who are still growing.

One statement from the message gave us something important to carry into this week:

“The question is not only, ‘Do I love God?’ The question is, ‘Can the people around me recognize God’s love in me by the way I treat them?’”

That reaches beyond Sunday morning.

It applies at home. At work. In traffic. On social media. In difficult conversations. And especially with the people who have hurt or disappointed us.

Pastor Dave challenged us to look honestly at our lives and ask:

Am I exemplifying the love of God to the people closest to me?

This week, may the fruit of the Spirit be more than something we know—may it be something others experience through us.

❤️ Speak with respect.
❤️ Listen before responding.
❤️ Stop keeping score.
❤️ Forgive quickly.
❤️ Serve somebody.
❤️ Let the Holy Spirit lead your relationships.

Be blessed—and be a blessing.
