REFORMED COMPANY OF PASTORS purpose, vision, and mission statements

PURPOSE The Reformed Company of Pastors (RCP) exists to be a camaraderie of local church pastors committed to faithful local church ministry, planting churches and supporting missionaries, as well as working for the bride of Christ to be continually reforming to the word of God for the glory of God.

  • First, we are committed to faithful local church ministry. This means we will hold one another accountable to “all Scripture” as well as encourage one another in the gospel of Jesus Christ, “for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace.”

  • Second, we are committed to planting churches and supporting missionaries. This means we will collaborate both prayerfully and financially to plant churches and support missions work both near and far, for “we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth.”

  • Third, we are committed to continually reforming to the word of God. We will pray and work together for the continued reformation of local churches and Christians in general. Our prayer and aim is that God would be glorified as “the whole counsel of God” is proclaimed and applied to how we worship, preach, teach, evangelize, observe the sacraments, make disciples, do missions, church plant, govern our local churches, and perform local church ministry. However, our prayer and aim is not limited to local church ministry. We desire to see God glorified as every aspect of our personal and corporate lives are reformed to “what is written”, for “no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
