Brothers and sisters in Jesus,

Some weekend encouragement for you...

(1) If you are baseball fan, and especially if you are a Milwaukee or Tampa Bay fan, join Pastor K. at church tomorrow night (Friday) to watch Game 1 of the World Series. This is a Grace family gathering... spontaneously called by me... I'll be here by 7:30 PM at latest with the game channel streaming in the fellowship hall. Game starts at 8 PM. Bring yourself and any snacks you want to eat and/or share and have some fun with at least me (and hopefully at least one of two others). I'll be using our personal YouTube TV account to stream and I tested it today... yes the wifi is strong enough to handle this.

(2) Sunday worship at 9 AM, followed by fellowship where we will have a cake to welcome our new member, Abbey M. After fellowship, our quarterly voters' meeting will happen... and after that, our Reformation Potluck! So many opportunities to encourage each other this weekend :)

Please join me and your brothers and sisters in Jesus to worship and fellowship together in God's house.

Come see us at Orchard Market in Fruitport this Saturday from 10am-3pm to purchase and donate food for the Muskegon Rescue Mission. Members of Grace will be there to collect donations and ensure they reach the food pantry promptly.
Whether you're stopping by to donate, say hello, or simply learn more about our church, we would love to meet you and get to know you! Together we can make a difference!

Tomorrow, 9/27, marks the beginning of our fall adult Bible study schedule at Grace. We have been meeting through the summer, but the time and length change a bit now. Starting tomorrow, adult Bible study will follow our fellowship time, and run 45 minutes, from 10:45 - 11:30 AM. We will be finishing up 1 John 3. If you haven't been in our summer study, please do show up anyway to help us finish up 1 John before we move on to a new study in a few weeks. I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
We wanted to make sure everyone is aware of our policy regarding children in church:
If your kids are loud, please still come to church.
If you’re running late because getting everyone out the door was a battle, please still come to church.
If your toddler won’t sit still, please still come to church.
If your baby needs to eat, please still come to church.
If your child asks questions at the least convenient time, please still come to church.
If someone cries, drops a toy, needs a snack, or has to make their third trip to the bathroom, please still come to church.
If your child doesn’t know all the words, all the prayers, or exactly when to sit and stand, please still come to church.
If you feel like you spent the entire service managing your children and heard approximately 12% of the sermon, please still come to church.
If Sunday morning feels messy instead of peaceful, please still come to church.
If you’re worried your children are distracting the people around you, please still come to church.
Because children do not learn how to be part of the Church by staying home until they can sit quietly.
They learn by being here.
They learn the hymns by hearing us sing them.
They learn the prayers by hearing us pray them.
They learn to worship by watching us worship.
They learn that church is home because we make room for them here.
The wiggles, whispers, dropped crayons, crying babies, and little voices are not interruptions to the life of the Church.
They are evidence that the Church is alive.
So bring the babies. Bring the toddlers. Bring the big kids. Come late. Sit in the back. Sit in the front. Step out when you need to and come right back in.
Just come.
Children are not simply the future of the Church. They are part of the Church right now.
And at Trinity Lutheran Church, there is a place for them here.
