We invite you to join our experience of cultivating a heart connection with our own sacred selves, with all living things, with all that is. People who want a spirituality that is unbound by theological dogma, we are a community that offers ongoing inner unfoldment in an atmosphere of acceptance and fellowship. Anyone who appreciates Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, and all the writers and teachers of a new spirituality in the mainstream of secular culture, this is the place to share a commonality in that vein of thought. The gatherings on Sunday morning are a time of gaining insight, nurturing the sacred Self, and stepping apart from the involvements of daily living. We host a variety of classes and activities, all focused on spiritual growth and personal development. It is the essence of the Divine, living in you, expressing through you, calling you to step into an accelerated, expanding realm of consciousness. Diane Stark came to Michigan in 2007 from Unity Institute, the ministerial training school at the world headquarters, near Kansas City, MO. She has spent her life as a child advocate, conducting youth education in Unity spiritual centers from Washington, DC, to Leavenworth, KS. She attended the University of Maryland and graduated with a degree in education. Her two grown daughters live in Los Angeles and Berlin, respectively. Diane was born in Unity and has actively studied the Unity teachings throughout her entire life. "Unity is a way of life that embraces the soul's journey into a new consciousness where all people can live in harmony and abundance."

CAN YOU CAST A SPELL?
Last Sunday, the "executive faculty of mind" was in the sermon, designating Charles Fillmore's description of consciousness and the power we have to direct our mental activity. It's not a stretch, then, to expand it to the spirituality of mental science, as earth-based religions do in fairy lore, druid lore, and wicca lore.
In my travels in Germany, I came upon a "Book of Spells" called a "Grimoire." It reads almost exactly like our Daily Word. Within us lies the power to create, the authority to decree an alignment of energies that influences the life of the group.
On our final Sunday in May, we will delve into the creation of "spells," meaning the activity of prayer that is issued affirmatively and positively.
In metaphysical Bible interpretation, a king always represents the executive faculty of mind. Our gathering this Sunday is a celebration of this aspect of our spiritual capacities.

Memorial Day holds the moment to remember with love, to take the opportunity to bring into our remembrance some of the exalted feelings that we have stored in the unconscious recesses of our minds. These are powerful storehouses of vibrational energy that we can discover when we take the opportunity to "Be still and know . . . "

IT'S FINALLY HERE!
The Unity Singers, under the direction of Louie Kiel, will perform their annual spring choral program this Sunday, at the Center.
We take great delight in this tradition and we love sharing it with you, our friends, old and new.
All are welcome - our gathering begins at 11 a.m. Sunday the 17th of May, and will also be live streamed on our YouTube channel.

VINA DAUTEN IS OUR SPEAKER THIS SUNDAY
When I first came to Unity of Muskegon, Vina was there. Here. That was 2008. She has had deep insights and knowledge since I have known her.
So finally, finally, she has agreed to give a talk. Her topic is "Life Beyond Death and the Body."

YOUR SUNDAY SPIRITUAL UPLIFT
This week, our speaker is Jeanie Gitchell, a lifelong Unity student whose mother was likewise an early worker and student of Unity teachings. Many of you remember them both. The talk title Jeanie has chosen is, "It's the Thought That Counts." For all of our congregants, the ideas that we share in our presentations are original and transformative. I love having the opportunity to feature our own folks in leading our gatherings.
It's so important to consider just how we want to proceed; how we want to be in a state of consciousness where we are attuned to the Good.
I am so happy to see the positive energy that we extend to one another. This will be the power that moves us into a future of cooperation and sustainability.

SUNDAY APRIL 19TH SPIRITUAL GATHERING
We - us - Unity Spiritual Center of Muskegon - are holding our Sunday gatherings for the next four weeks, with a lineup of guest speakers. But they really aren't "guests." They're our own amazing Truth students, sharing their journey of unfoldment.
First, Rev. Charles DeTurk, speaking on "My Life As An Underground Newspaper Publisher," this Sunday. Not only did he publish "The Raspberry" for seven years in Dayton, OH, he has self published his own series of metaphysical books. He taught his first one, "What We Believe That Makes Us Different, A New Thought Journey in an Orthodox Land," when he first moved here from Atlanta.
So, this is a special invitation to you to celebrate our very precious community, to join in the hour long service of music, meditation, and reflection. If you do the livestream, just go to Unity of Muskegon channel on YouTube at 11 a.m.
Meanwhile, Rev. Diane (that's me) is in Berlin, Germany, relishing a visit with daughter and granddaughter.

OUR GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE IS COMING UP
A beautiful time of devotion, led by Jeanie and Dave Gitchell, Friday, April 3rd, 7 pm. at the Center, 1735 Peck St.
The service includes a communion with grape juice and bread, and a candle lighting experience.
