Every evening at 6:00 PM from November 1, All Saints Day through next Wednesday, November 8, join us at St. Mary's Cemetery Chapel for a special remembrance of our loved ones and all the souls who have passed away. A rosary and prayers for all souls. It is such a beautiful experience. Everyone is welcome.

REMINDER: This Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM will be the last Holy Mass at Sacred Heart Church-Muskegon Heights, MI. Our beautiful church community will be permanently closed after Sunday. Please join us for this final Mass with the Most Reverend Bishop David Walkowiak presiding. Potluck to follow the final Mass.

Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of Fr. Antony Britto, SAC, who passed away on August 26th. Fr. Britto served in our diocese for 11 years in the parishes of Christ the King-St Francis de Sales Catholic Parish, Sacred Heart Church-Muskegon Heights, MI, St. Thomas the Apostle and Our Lady of Grace in Muskegon, and St. Bernadette - St. Margaret Mary in Edmore and Stanton, before moving back to India. His funeral Mass was celebrated on August 28th at St. Vincent Pallotti Church in Banaswadi, India. There will be a memorial Mass held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Muskegon on September 6th at 6 p.m. for to anyone who would like to attend.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

The photo gallery and saying below was shared with me by very dear friends of Fathers. Hoping all who see it can enjoy the memory of him. It is incredible how many lives he touched across the world.

We hold you close within our hearts, and there you shall remain to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again. So rest in peace dear Fr. Britto and many thanks for all you have done for us. We pray that God has given you the crown you have truly won. May you rest in peace. Amen.

Good morning Sacred Heart community. We lost a beautiful soul today. Father Britto passed away today. Please keep him and his family members in your thoughts and prayers.

I do want everyone to know that Father Britto’s passing at this time was a true blessing. I was fortunate enough to see him and talk to him yesterday via video chat. He was not conscious, and only opened his eyes briefly, but after seeing his struggle to breathe, I was thankful Jesus took him. We will always appreciate the blessings he brought to us at Sacred Heart as he truly loved that parish. May Eternal rest be granted upon him. 🙏🏻❤️

Update on Father Britto:
Unfortunately, the doctor's are not giving Father much hope as he is still not able to move his body and only opened his eyes for the first time today. The doctors said that had they seen progress in the first 4-7 days after his stroke, they would have had more hope, but that has not happened. Members of his family have been able to see him so that is a blessing. Please continue to pray for Father Britto and that God will grant him peace and comfort. Thank you very much for the continued prayers.

Thank to the many people who came to the Hour of Prayer for Father Britto. It was wonderful to see so many people praying for him.
