After Tuesday’s food and clothing pantries, our personal care pantry shelves and storage cupboards were nearly bare.😢 For weeks, supplies have been running low, and our Director of Programs and Operations, who usually restocks shelves after hours, was heartbroken to realize that aside from toothbrushes, bars of soap, and some donated vitamins, there was very little left to offer our neighbors in need.
That changed yesterday in a big way. 😍
We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Martin Luther Church in Muskegon for donating approximately $150 worth of personal care items along with $225 in cash designated for personal care supplies. 🧴 We also want to thank the Muskegon Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce for choosing us as a recipient of their monthly “Item of the Month” donation, providing approximately $75 in items and $42 in cash for personal care needs.
Because of this generosity, we were able to head out immediately to restock essentials and help ensure that families who come through our doors will continue to have access to basic hygiene and personal care items over the coming weeks.
The need is still ongoing, especially for dish soap, laundry pods, string floss, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Personal care items and financial donations for these supplies are always deeply appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who continues to help us care for our community with dignity. ❤
