We are so honored to have joined up and been part of what TCE Missions is doing in South Africa over the six weeks. From the very beginning, we were welcomed into the village, into people’s homes, and into their church with such open arms that it didn’t take long before we truly felt like family.

There are so many beautiful stories we could share, but one that I keep coming back to is Brandon’s time helping with a discipleship course for two men in the village. These men are in an intense season of training, with the hope that within the next two years they’ll step into roles as pastors of local churches. Brandon had the joy of walking closely with them during this time, and one of the most powerful moments was when they went door to door sharing the gospel. At first, they were nervous, but after being welcomed into homes and getting to pray with people, Brandon said you could literally see the shift. Their nerves turned into excitement, and it was written all over their faces. Watching that kind of transformation up close is something I am sure he’ll never forget.

I had the opportunity to teach a Bible-based ESL class to villagers who signed up, and it was such a gift! We walked through parables in Matthew, talking about the kingdom of Heaven—how Jesus describes it as a treasure, a pearl, yeast, a net, and more. The students were so engaged and genuinely just grateful to be there. It was incredibly special to be part of their learning, and honestly, it still amazes me that a girl from Alabama got to teach English in a village in South Africa! And yes… they definitely learned “y’all” and “Roll Tide” along the way. Watching them “graduate” from the course was such a sweet moment, and this was just such an honor to be able to do.

Each week, we also attended a biblical theology class led by the missionaries. During our final class before heading home, we witnessed something really powerful—one of the regular attendees, who had been around for a while, gave his life to Jesus. It felt like such a gift from the Lord to be there for that moment. As we were already starting to feel the weight of leaving, that decision brought so much joy and peace. It was a beautiful way to close out our time there.

Over these weeks, we witnessed God move in so many ways. We’ve seen firsthand that God is at work in Limpopo, and we feel incredibly grateful that we got to play even a small part in what He’s doing there. To everyone who supported us and prayed for us—thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. We are so grateful. We know God is our provider, and He works through people to accomplish His plans. Thank you for being willing to listen to that nudge, to give, to pray, and to walk alongside us in this journey. Your support means more than we can put into words, and we feel incredibly blessed to have such an amazing community around us.

Visit TCEmissions.com to learn more about the missionaries we served alongside and the incredible Kingdom work they’re doing in South Africa. They have a heart for both educational training and church planting, and each of their base locations serves as a central hub for that vision. They use everyday life within their home and living compound, things like farming, gardening, caring for animals, and a shared community well as intentional opportunities to share the gospel. Through these relationships, they disciple and train individuals, preparing them to step confidently into the mission field and grow into future church leaders. If you feel led, we encourage you to come alongside them in prayer and support for their mission!

On Good Friday, I find myself overwhelmed. We remember the day Jesus Christ was crucified. The day He willingly went to the cross, suffered, and died for the sins of the world.🌎

It’s called “good” not because it was easy or painless, but because of what His sacrifice accomplished: redemption, grace, and the opportunity for us to be made new.

These past several weeks on mission have taught us so much—but one truth keeps coming back, louder than anything else: we owe everything to the precious blood of Jesus, shed on that cross.

I cry when I think about what He did… for us. For me. Someone so undeserving of that kind of sacrifice. That kind of love. And yet, He still chose it. He did it for you too.

He died for you.

If there’s one thing I could say this year, it’s this: don’t miss it.

Don’t miss the whole point. Don’t miss the opportunity to truly know Him.

Because I promise you this life, fully surrendered to Him, is worth it.

I’m in awe every single day of what Brandon and I are blessed to be doing for the Lord this year. But if I could leave you with one thing today, it would be this:

It is finished. He won. He defeated the grave… and now it’s up to us to choose to live for Him. ✝️
