Today was a fantastic day in the FamilySearch Center. The Green family came to work on their family history! They played some of the fun games on FamilySearch, and found names to take to the Temple. We welcome everyone to come and visit!

The June theme for the FamilySearch Center is Summer Memories. Post some of your pictures and memories of those summer vacations so that your descendants can see all the fun that you had!

FYI, the FamilySearch center is closed for the month of July. We will be open in August.

Do you have ancestors that lived in Nauvoo? The FamilySearch Center at our Murrieta Stake Center has a set of books that list all the Baptisms for the Dead performed during the years in Nauvoo.

Many of these baptisms were performed in the Mississippi River and then later in a wooden font built in the Temple.

It lists the name of the person that was the proxy and the deceased. It has a little bio on the people if the information was available. I found my husband's 3rd Grandparents and the baptisms they did for their ancestors.

Come on by Wednesday evening 7 to 8 pm or Thursday from 10 to 2 pm and look! You can even make a copy of the page if you want!

The Murrieta FamilySearch Center is excited to announce you can now digitize old VHS tapes at our center! If you'd like to reserve it, email [email protected] and we'll let you know about availability. Keep in mind that it records in real time so it will take however long the video is you want to digitize and make sure to bring your own flash drive to save it on.

The FamilySearch Center is open Wednesday nights from 7pm-8pm, Thursdays from 10am-2pm, and by appointment.
