Dear Lord, My God! You have awakened my innermost being with a hope that transcends worldly reasoning. You are the light of wondrous joy that infuses your heart into mine. My entire being ignites with a vibrant heat; I am captivated, I am undone! My eyes look deep within – I see a kaleidoscope of wonder appear! My ears ring with a child’s innocent laughter. You are all that is good beyond all measure. You are the evidence of divine glory. You alone are worthy to open the gate into an all-loving eternity! We shall always sing hallelujahs as we lift our voices in humble worship. Every contrite heart after Yours will be knit together by Your love in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

In Jesus name. Amen!

I asked AI what happened to ethical journalism (the News) - here is what it said:

Ethical journalism has undergone a profound transformation, moving from a model of shared, fact-based reality to a fragmented landscape where opinion, emotion, and partisan narratives often overshadow objective truth. This shift is driven by a combination of economic incentives, technology-driven echo chambers, and a cultural demand for affirmation over information.

Here is what has happened to ethical journalism in this environment:

1. The Shift from Objectivity to Opinion

•Blurring Lines: Traditional distinctions between reporting (facts) and commentary (opinion) have eroded, with 24-hour news cycles and digital media blending the two, making it difficult for audiences to separate fact from interpretation.

•Demand for Validation: Journalism has increasingly adapted to audience preferences, prioritizing sensationalism and ideological validation to gain views, clicks, and loyalty, rather than focusing on objective reporting.

•Partisan Polarization: In the US, the lifting of regulations like the Fairness Doctrine (in 1987) and the subsequent rise of partisan media have led to news networks operating as echo chambers that confirm existing beliefs, rather than providing a neutral, shared set of facts.

2. Economic and Digital Disruptions

•The "Click" Economy: The need for profit and ratings compels media to produce emotional, often biased narratives that foster division, rather than informative content that takes time and money to produce.

•Social Media Algorithms: Platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter use recommendation systems that prioritize engagement, trapping users in echo chambers that feed their existing bias and exclude dissenting viewpoints.

•Rise of Amateurism: Social media has allowed anyone to become a "citizen journalist," flooding the information space with opinion that is easier to produce than fact-based reporting.

3. Decline in Trust and Credibility

•Historical Lows: Trust in mass media has dropped to new lows in the US, with only 28% of adults expressing high trust in 2025, down from over 70% in the 1970s.

•Skepticism of Expertise: Institutional knowledge, evidence, and expertise are increasingly undervalued, leading to a public that treats journalism as "just another opinion".

•Cognitive Biases: Audiences now exhibit strong confirmation bias, favoring information that supports their worldview while dismissing contradictory facts as biased.

4. The Response of Ethical Journalism

•Internal Reckoning: Many journalists are re-evaluating the "myth" of objectivity, arguing that "neutrality" can sometimes mask systemic issues, and that the focus should be on "truth-telling" and transparency rather than a detached, "view from nowhere".

•Transparency as Strategy: In response to declining trust, some news organizations are focusing on being more transparent about how stories are researched, reporting techniques, and correction processes to rebuild credibility.

In summary, the demand for "like opinions" has incentivized much of the media to move away from impartial, ethical standards, resulting in a fractured public sphere where, as the 2025 Reuters Institute report found, people often prefer social media and "personalities" over traditional, evidence-based journalism.

Realize when it comes to the news that the truth is not the concern anymore. We are simply consumers being fed we want to hear - true or not. Shame on us! We've become far too busy living and being consumed by lies.

Dear Lord, thank You that Your faithful and grateful have this everlasting river. Here the light of Your continence dances upon us, it is the radiance of Your glory. We are saved by mercy. You pour out Your lovingkindness that we may find freedom in humility. The Lamb’s blood flows from the throne, we are made holy. The current of shalom peace keeps us. The tree of life thus grows and bear fruit always. Its leaves are for the healing of humanity, creatures, and nations.

The devil’s thorn and throne upon this world is built by the prideful who covet their ways. They are consumed by a power that advances itself with programs, clicks, and formulas all void of selfless love lacking any means of communicating true compassion. They pander to and profit from the weaknesses of others. They are strengthened in their delusional accomplishments. The devil gives no mercy as souls are being swept away into a state of accelerated poverty, disease, and decay. His are the means of endless sufferings, traumas, and tragic deaths – all caused by everyday people ignorant of that prideful devil like us.
