Onward to Zion

Onward to Zion Onward To Zion was formed to serve God and his people in the Murrieta/Temecula valley. We are always happy to meet new people - all are welcome!

We are here to help people find God's purpose for them and to assist them in fulfilling His call in their life. We have people of all backgrounds in our congregation and want to further diversify because we are all God's children.

As we step into a brand-new week, take a moment to look back. Think about the valleys you’ve crossed, the steep hills you’ve climbed, and the moments you weren’t sure how you’d find the strength to take the next step.

You made it through. Not because the journey was seamless or free from trouble, but because you were never walking alone.

When the road got rough, His grace became your pavement. When your steps faltered, His hand held you steady. The fact that you are standing here today is a beautiful, living testimony of God’s absolute faithfulness. He didn’t promise the path would always be easy, but He gave a far greater promise: He would be with us through it all.

Whatever this upcoming week brings—whether it’s smooth paths or unexpected hurdles—walk with confidence. The same God who carried you through yesterday is already standing in your tomorrow. You are sustained, you are covered, and you are never abandoned.

Let’s step into this week with grateful hearts and unshakeable faith!

“Lord, I want to die.”

Those words came from Elijah, one of the greatest prophets in Scripture.

After witnessing miracles, standing strong in faith, and serving God faithfully, Elijah found himself exhausted, overwhelmed, afraid, and ready to give up.

Yet God did not abandon him in his darkest moment.

God met him in the wilderness.
God cared for him.
God strengthened him.
God reminded him that his story was not over.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end today, may this not be the end of the conversation. Mental health matters every month, every day, and every life matters to God.

If your heart is heavy, if your mind is weary, or if you’re walking through a difficult season, know that you are seen, loved, and not alone. The God who met Elijah in the wilderness still meets His people today.

Your struggle is not the end of your story. God’s faithfulness still has the final word.

Mental Health Awareness Month may be ending…
But our call to love, support, pray for, and walk alongside one another continues.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service and sacrifice for others. Their courage reminds us of a love that costs something — a love willing to protect, serve, and give selflessly.

John 15:13 points us to the greatest example of sacrificial love: Jesus Christ. Through Him, we see that true love is not just spoken, but demonstrated through humility, courage, and surrender. Today, as we honor those who laid down their lives for our freedom, may we also reflect on the call to live with gratitude, compassion, and faith.

May we never take for granted the blessings we enjoy, the freedoms we cherish, and the people who sacrificed so much so future generations could live in peace.

Today, we remember.
Today, we honor.
Today, we give thanks.

Thank You, Lord, for the lives courageously given in service to others. Comfort every grieving family, strengthen every heart carrying loss, and help us live each day with gratitude, purpose, and love. 🇺🇸

Sometimes God allows us to reach the end of ourselves so we can finally discover the strength found in surrender.

When life feels heavy, uncertain, or broken, the strongest place you can be is not standing in your own power — it’s kneeling before God in prayer.

On your knees, fear becomes faith.
Worry becomes worship.
And battles become testimonies.

The world says to panic in crisis, but heaven reminds us to pray first. God still moves through surrendered hearts, and He is still faithful in every storm.

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” — Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

Join us this Wednesday for our in-person Prayer Meeting as we seek God together in faith, surrender, and expectation.

A blessed nation isn’t a perfect one.
It’s a nation that recognizes its need for God.
A people who humble themselves, seek His face, and choose His ways even when the world chooses compromise.

This is our moment to stand in the gap.
For our families. For our children. For our churches. For our communities.
For unity, healing, repentance, and revival.

Today is more than a reminder… it’s a call.
Not just to post about prayer, but to return to prayer.

Prayer isn’t our last resort—
it’s our greatest weapon.

Same message…
Different response.

Ever said something clearly…
and it still didn’t land?

“That’s not what I meant…”
“Why didn’t that land?”

Not because people don’t care…
but because people are wired differently.

Learn how to understand people
and communicate in a way that actually connects
