Happy Easter, Hyland Lake Ward, from our family to yours. We missed being with you, we missed hearing our beautiful choir and sharing the spirit of this Easter Sabbath with you. As we partook of the Sacrament this morning, I was touched by the words of those prayers and what they mean for us in our lives and in these difficult times. We celebrate Easter to remind us that there is hope, not a small hope nor a partial hope, but a powerfully complete and bright hope of good things to come. We hope you’ve felt the Savior’s love for you today. We love you and pray for all of you.

(Bishop is taking the mustache challenge very seriously, brothers. How are yours coming along?)

Tomorrow is Good Friday and is the day President Nelson has set aside for a worldwide fast to petition the Lord for relief from this pandemic. We hope you will join us and will in invite friends and neighbors to participate. God will hear the righteous pleas of His children.

Hundreds of thousands of people of all faiths are taking to social media to say they will join in worldwide fasting and prayer on Good Friday for relief from the global COVID-19 pandemic.

That momentum for a collective fast is reflected in one new Facebook group that swelled to more than 300,000 members in three days after a global religious leader issued an invitation over the weekend.

I’m still drying my tears of gratitude for a living prophet, the Restoration of the Gospel and the the abundance of the Spirit in this morning’s session. We hope you were able to participate in that sacred Solemn Assembly and to feel God’s love, truth and light.

Below is the new proclamation our dear prophet presented this morning.

During the Sunday morning session of the 190th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Russell M. Nelson presented a proclamation in honor of the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith’s First Vision.

This General Conference is certainly living up to President Nelson’s promise of it being unlike any other! We hope you were able to watch or listen to today’s sessions. They were wonderful and powerful.

In the morning session President Nelson announces that immediately following tomorrow’s morning session we will all participate in a Solemn Assembly with Hosanna Shout. We invite you to prepare yourselves spiritually for this incredible event.

We would also like to remind you that this evening’s session is for all members. It begins at 6:00. We love you, we miss you, we pray for you.

Please say a prayer for our missionaries. Due to the Coronavirus, some of our missionaries will be coming home sooner than expected. Please pray they will be able to make it here safely and will be well when they get here. ❤️

Check in with us! How is everyone?! Check on your neighbors and ministering sisters and brothers. ❤️

As we approach our first Sunday apart, we wanted to let you know that we love you and pray for each of you. This message from our sweet prophet is full of hope, comfort and love. We hope you'll watch it.

We have an awesome opportunity to really put into practice many of the new "course-corrections" that have happened. We encourage you to use the church website to prepare and teach Sunday School lessons with your family or to study on your own tomorrow. Reach out to your ministering brothers & sisters as well as your neighbors to make sure they are doing well and help them when needed.

Times are uncertain and a little scary, but if we continue in faith and trust in the Lord all will be well.
