Thank you Rockvale School Parents (Middle School), RMS teachers, & RMS students for a successful food drive for the FUEL Backpack Food program at Fellowship United Methodist Church! We were blown away by your generosity, filling 3 SUVs to the brim with donations! Food is already going to students and families in need in our community.

Donated food will also benefit the Fellowship UMC Blessing Box and Bread from Heaven food ministries.

Thought I would share how one UT (FUEL) Volunteer is collecting items in Knoxville for Fellowship Church food ministries in Murfreesboro. Mikayla Morrell invited friends who have unused UT dining dollars (they would otherwise lose) to use their remaining balances to buy non-perishable items for FUEL, Bread from Heaven, and the Blessing Box.

With just just one week of FUEL left in the school year, we were running low on granola bars. What a creative use of resources for a great cause that would otherwise just be given up! Thanks, Mikayla and friends! We appreciate your generosity!

Someone suggested we post the FUEL Items of the month for the whole year, so here it is! These may change throughout the year as donations come in that we may have surplus of. ANYTHING from our most needed list are welcome any time of year, whether they are the official "Item-of-the-Month" or not. Thank you for what you provide to help fuel the children we serve!

Thank you, The Beechgrove Bunkhouse Suites and Stables! We are so thankful for your encouragement, prayers, and generosity! What a blessing you are to so many serving and being served by this ministry!

This year, The Beechgrove Bunkhouse Suites and Stables began the tradition of giving 10% of profits from each quarter to a non-profit.

FUEL Murfreesboro, TN was the first recipient of this donation! The FUEL program provides weekend food bags to area schools for students in need.

Please be in prayer that we are able to finish the school year with enough money to buy the food that is so desperately needed AND that we can find sponsors to partner with us for the upcoming school year.

FUEL at Fellowship is at an ALL-TIME record number of students, and the need continues to grow weekly. We delivered 209 bags this week alone to seven schools in Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools, and we already know of at least two additional families that will need help next week. Our previous school-year high was 203 bags for one week last spring, and that didn't occur until mid-April. We are in early February! We are running through reserves from years of donations received for the program, but that is diminishing quickly, and the need is greater now than ever.

Can you help? Can you bring or have food shipped to the church? Can you send a financial donation to Fellowship Church that we can use to buy bulk food at a discount? Do you know of an organization that could do a food drive for us? Do you know of a business that would like to donate to a worthy cause in the community?

We appreciate all you do to pray for and financially support FUEL and the children we serve. You matter. These kids matter. Please help if you can.

We received a total of $425 in gift cards last month from Publix (New Salem), Walmart (Joe B Jackson), and Costco! We also received packing help from the Junior League of Murfreesboro, the Teen Living Club at Rockvale Middle School, and our dedicated FUEL packing team. We are so thankful for all our volunteers and support team, inside and outside the church!

Please join us in supporting FUEL with your food or monetary donations as we wrap up the calendar year!

October is here, and we're serving more than 150 students per week at 7 area schools! We have exhausted our supply of granola bars and cereal bars from Rockvale Middle School's spring food drive.
