What a week. ❤️
It’s hard to believe VBS is already over.
For four days, our hallways were filled with laughter, worship, excitement, and more energy than we knew what to do with. Kids made new friends, learned new truths, asked big questions, and most importantly, spent time learning about Jesus.
This week at Basecamp we learned:
🏔️ The Map— Life can be hard, but God has given us a guide.
🧭 The Leader — Jesus is the One worth following, and His voice can always be trusted.
❤️ The Rescue — God’s love for us is so great that He sent Jesus to rescue us.
✨ The Purpose — Every child was created by God on purpose and for a purpose.
But when we look back on this week, these aren’t just lessons we taught. They’re truths we watched come alive in the hearts of kids.
We saw kids worship with abandon. We heard them ask thoughtful questions. We watched friendships form. We prayed together. We laughed together. We made memories together.
And honestly, that’s what makes VBS so special.
To every volunteer who gave up their time, showed up tired, carried the heavy things, cleaned up messes, comforted nervous kids, led small groups, danced to motions, and loved these kids so well….thank you. You are the reason weeks like this happen.
To every parent who trusted us with your children this week, thank you. It is a gift we never take lightly.
And to our kids…you are the reason we do this. Watching you learn about Jesus is one of the greatest joys we get to experience.
As we packed up yesterday, there was a lot of gratitude and maybe a little sadness too. Because after a week like this, it’s hard to say goodbye.
But we’re trusting that what God started this week doesn’t end here.
The songs may stop playing. The decorations may come down. But the truth remains.
Jesus is with us.
Jesus leads us.
Jesus rescues us.
And Jesus has a purpose for every one of us.
What a week. We loved every second of it. ❤️
Already counting down to next year. 🚀✨
