Make-A-Will Sunday | August 16
August is Make-A-Will Month! As Episcopalians, we are reminded that we have a responsibility to instruct our people to make wills while they are in health, arranging their earthly affairs with intention and care. True stewardship means recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God, entrusted to us for a reason. This August, to help us step into this calling with peace of mind, parishes throughout the diocese are observing Make-A-Will Month. To support our parishioners in taking this important step, St. Paul’s has partnered with FreeWill. This secure, user-friendly online resource lets you create or update your will at no cost. As you use this tool to protect your family, we softly invite you to consider how a legacy gift can protect the future of our parish. Naming St. Paul’s in your estate plans today costs nothing, but it ensures that our worship, music, formations, and outreach ministries will remain vibrant in Murfreesboro for generations to come.
On August 16, our very own Dr. Keith Gamble, Jack O. Weatherford Chair of Finance and professor in the Jones College of Business at MTSU, will lead a class during Christian Education. He will discuss why establishing a will is a practical act of love for your family and can also be a deeply faithful exercise of stewardship, as it removes the burden of uncertainty from those you love and ensures your values are clearly reflected.
