SERVICE CANCELED
After checking several weather sources and watching the news and weather for about 45 minutes, it seems best to cancel the service. The temperature isn't as cold as expected, but it is right at the freezing point. We could see snow, sleet and freezing rain and there could be icy spots, especially on bridges and overpasses. Conditions in outlying areas could be worse than what we see in Murfreesboro.
Although Tennesseeans may over-exaggerate about weather conditions, truth is, many don't know how to drive on even a little snow and ice because we don't experience it as often as our friends to the North. We don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or unsafe. I never want to cancel a service, but because of the uncertainty of weather conditions, it just seems wisdom to let people stay in and be safe. Please worship the Lord from where you are!
Also, I had previously announced last Sunday that we were having Wednesday service January 8. I misquoted that. We will resume Wednesday night service January 15. Sorry about the confusion.
We look forward to seeing you back at church Sunday, January 12! Try to keep warm this week as cold temperatures and more threatening weather expected the first of the week.
