Update from chambers

I am SO GREAT. Had both of my doctor appointments today.
Dr. Ma said we had the best outcome. I have a 95% chance of the cancer NOT coming back!!!!

The microscopic trace in my milk duct was not part of the invasive cancer..so it would not of had a response to the chemo, so taking it out was what was needed. She was super happy with my margins and was so happy and celebrated with me!

Also met with Dr. Lee (radiation oncologist). I feel much better with him now, he was nice, fun, and we are prepping for the radiation next week. I will have a CT next week. Dr. Lee will take those results and determine my radiation treatment which will hopefully start the following week.

My targeted treatment with Dr. Ma and my radiation treatment with Dr. Lee will run parallel with each other. My targeted treatment will be every 3 weeks for the next 8 1/2 months. I start next Friday with that.

All happy doable things, of course there are side effects but nothing is as bad as chemo in my book! So relieved and thankful!

Update from

I had my post op appointment today with my surgeon, Dr. White. She was super pleased with my pathology report, only a MICROSCOPIC trace of cancer was found in my milk duct. Lymph nodes were clear and all margins were clear!!!! Chemo really did it’s job! Now to pray no chemo drugs with my targeted treatment that i will have for the next year.

Meet with Dr. Ma(oncologist) and Dr. Lee (radiation oncologist) next Thursday. Moving to next best thing to be cancer free! Probably start radiation in 2-3 weeks and i would assume targeted treatment around the same time.

We can do this! 💪🏻💪🏻

Just wanted to give you a quick update on chambers
SHE IS DOING GREAT! No PAIN. Just sore and tired. She even went to Emmi’s 10 year checkup yesterday and hasn’t had a Tylenol since last night. PRAISES PRAISES PRAISES!!!

UPDATE!


Just talked to Dr White. She said everything looked great. Took out 2 lymph nodes which is normal but did not see any residual of cancer but will send off. She said it looks great. Said Chemo did its job. Praise Jesus!!! Will be in recovery about another 30 minutes.

My bestie girl is having surgery tomorrow. She has been a warrior and finished her first round of chemo. Would you join me in praying for Dr. White’s hands to be steady, for God to give her the wisdom and knowledge to care specifically for , and for clear and cancer free margins? Also pray for her little warrior princess, Emily’s heart as she waits for her momma to be out of surgery. Please share this if you are able.

Update

happy monday! anyone struggle more than their child getting up this morning! 🥱

i have my next steps. i will have treatment tomorrow with the two drugs that has been part of my previous treatments. they are not considered chemo drugs...the nurse said i don’t need to cold cap or cold glove (thank you Jesus) it will take around 2.5 hours.

please pray with me that i will not experience side effects (nausea, fatigue, etc) i plan to go back to work after it 😬, but just one client . i have a lighter load this week, HE knew.

also praying i can still get the vaccine wednesday! i would like to have it before surgery. that little bit of protection would be great!

1 down 2 to go! Possibly 3.

My surgeon was not kidding when she said this is a marathon and not a sprint. This journey is long and hard. The first set in this journey is over! I just finished my chemo treatments. I had 6 chemo treatments every 3 weeks. I cold capped each one and am so thankful I was able to preserve most of my hair. My hair will still shed for around 2 more months but I have kept most of it. Thank you for your support through my chemo and cold capping journey. No possible way I could do it without you and your prayers.

Surgery is next. I have 2 more appointments this week and then a conversation with my surgeon before the final decision is made on the details of the surgery. I will make my decision this Friday 3/12. Surgery will most likely come in the next 3-4 weeks.

The question mark in all of this is, will I have radiation. Radiation depends on what type of surgery I have. Lumpectomy vs. Mastectomy.

After surgery I will start targeted treatment which will last for 9 months.

I pray by the end of all of this, I am completely cancer free! That cancer has left my body and that it never returns. Honestly, cancer is scary. Will you pray with us? This journey has been really hard on my girl. She is scared, me too! Home looks different sometimes, recovery looks different each time, the unknown for my girl is unsettling. Thank you for loving us big, for helping me stay home with my girl while recovering, for filling our bellies and being the hands and feet of Jesus. We love you so!

Hey everyone
Wanted to give you an update on chambers
She had a pretty rough night last night.

She said she felt like a 10 (1 feeling great...10 the worst) last night during the night and said she feels like a 7 right now. She has had some relief from the congestion but is still really nauseous and hasn’t been able to eat. She was supposed to work tomorrow but had to move all of her clients. She’s pretty weak and her body is not cooperating and fighting off it all like it normally does. I’m super thankful that she hasn’t had any other sicknesses before now.
Praying that her body will settle this evening so she can sleep more soundly and allow her body to fight as she sleeps.

She’s done for today and heading home for 4 more hours of 🥶 capping. She’s super tired today. Please pray for her strength and stamina the rest of the of today and in the days to come.
