The Sunday Recap...On Monday for 9/7/26
1. Yesterday we spent time in Ecc. 5:18-20 and sought to find the spiritual middle ground between work and rest. By grace we can find contenment in God alone!
2. Celebrating growth at GBC yesterday with a profession of faith and a new family making the Grace Family their church family.
3. Mark your calendars for the GBC Fall Festival on 10/24 - 9AM - 3PM.
4. Grace Kid's Need YOU! Volunteers are needed at 9:30A, 10:30A, and 5:30P on Sundays.

MEET OUR NEW PASTOR!!
Joel was called by our church as pastor in August 2026. He is thrilled to be the pastor of the Grace Family.

Joel was born and raised in metropolitan Washington D.C. area. A graduate of Luther Rice Seminary, with a Master of Divinity, he has served in church ministry for almost 30 years in church in Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee. He was also a battalion chaplain in the United States Army for 12 years and is an Iraq War veteran.

Joel’s undergraduate degree is from Carson-Newman University. It was at CNU that he met his wife Becky to whom he has been married for 27 years. They have three children and their family has called Murfreesboro home for over 15 years. Joel also serves as a staff chaplain with Alive Hospice here in Rutherford County serving both adult and pediatric patents at end of life.

Joel comes to Grace Baptist with a passion for sharing the gospel, preaching and teaching scripture verse by verse, and providing clear leadership. In his spare time he runs marathons VERY slowly, going to concerts, shopping at Costco, going to the movies, and visiting Disney World as much as possible.
