Spiritual growth doesn’t just happen because we’ve followed Jesus for a long time. Becoming more like Christ requires intentional habits that keep our eyes fixed on Him.

This Sunday, we’re talking about what it means to grow into mature disciples, spending time in God’s Word, praying, learning to trust Him, and growing alongside other believers. Church is more than a Sunday morning ritual. It’s a community helping one another become more and more like Jesus.

We need each other. Following Jesus was never meant to be something we figure out alone. We need people who point us toward Jesus. People who help us grow. People who remind us what's true. People who walk beside us while we're becoming more like Him. And somebody needs you to be that person for them, too.

So maybe the question isn't just, “Do I go to church?” Maybe it's: Who am I linking arms with as I follow Jesus? And who is linking arms with me?

That's the Church. ❤️

We blessed backpacks a few weeks ago, but yesterday Pastor Mark gave us a reminder of why that matters.

Our students spend 30+ hours every week in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, locker rooms, practice fields, jobs and friend groups. They already have tables. So when we prayed over these backpacks, we weren't just praying for good grades and a good school year. We were praying for students who would carry the love and grace of Jesus everywhere they go.

There’s a new seat at The Table! Today, Pastor Mark opened God’s Word with us for the first time as our new youth pastor and reminded us what kind of people we want to be.

We gather at the table. We are filled at the table. Then, we are sent from the table because the table doesn’t end when we leave the building.

Welcome to The Table, Pastor Mark. We’re pretty excited to see what God has in store.

What if the table is about more than having a place where we belong? In Luke 14, Jesus shows us a Kingdom table where barriers come down, grace is freely extended, and there is room for people we might never expect. We’ve been invited to the table, and now we get to carry that same grace and love into every table God places before us.
