El Roi (pronounced el ro-ee) is a Hebrew name for God meaning "The God Who Sees Me" or "The God of Seeing". It appears only once in the Bible (Genesis 16:13), used by Hagar to describe God who found her in the wilderness, providing comfort and validation.

Validation of the Unseen: El Roi signifies that God is aware of and looks after those who feel overlooked, abused, or abandoned.

A Personal God: It highlights that God is not distant, but a personal deity who sees and intervenes on behalf of the marginalized.

Source of Comfort: The name offers comfort to those facing difficult times, reassuring them that they are seen, known, and loved.

Due to severe weather conditions making walking to our Church Street distribution point treacherous for our friends, we will be partnering with Coldest Nights @ First Baptist to provide lunch tomorrow. There will be no service at
