We are all guilty of playing the comparison game or assuming others will do the heavy lifting. But that is not how Jesus worked. He didn’t look for the most polished or perfectly equipped people—He called the willing, the ordinary, and the available.

Orientation and How to read the bible.

We look at the world and see exhaustion, brokenness, or absolute scarcity. But Jesus looks at the exact same scene and sees a harvest waiting for abundance. ✨

From the impossible promise given to Abraham and Sarah in their old age, to Jesus looking at the helpless crowds in Matthew 9 and 10—Scripture shows us that God’s math is completely different than ours. Where we see "not enough," He sees a field ripe for renewal and sends us out with a reminder: “Freely you have received; freely give.”
