If you are serious about achieving any goal in life you will begin to focus your life on what will help you accomplish that goal. Hebrews 12:1-2 reminds us that we have chosen a goal to enter the race before us to be transformed to become just like Jesus. In order to run this race well we need to “lay aside” all our sin that weighs us down. In Matthew 5:29-30 Jesus instructs us to eliminate sin from our lives and that will call for a self-discipline and a kingdom focused life. So, if we are to run in a way that glorifies Jesus we must set our goal on God’s Kingdom, identify the sins in our lives that hinder us, eliminate them, and replace them with godly habits. We Follow Jesus by Eliminating Sin from our Lives.
