We are a Family Scouting unit—welcoming both boys and girls!

Recruitment Night Details:
• Date: Monday, September 14, 2026
• Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Location: Homestead Park UM Church (4231 Shady Avenue, Munhall, PA 15120)

• Who Can Join? Boys and Girls in Kindergarten through 12th grade!

Bring the whole family to learn about camping, hiking, community service, the Pinewood Derby, and building life skills that last a lifetime.

Seven-year-old Lawson, son of active Homested Park UMC members Chris and Christine Ellwanger, was diagnosed with generalized epilepsy in 2022. The Ellwanger family leaned on their faith for strength and hope during the months of treatment that followed. "I baptized both Lawson and his sister Liana," writes Rev. Don Kephart. "At my recent retirement party at the church, Lawson took the microphone and talked about what a great pastor I am! It was the best part of the day!"
