Important announcement regarding worship livestream changes: Due to repeated and continuing issues with Facebook’s video service, we are switching to our YouTube Channel for our streaming service. You can view it there, on our website as usual, and it will be an EVENT on our page, but it will not automatically be viewable on Facebook as it has in the past.

In brief: expect change, if all else fails go to our website to view the service, and let us know what, if any, issues you encounter as we adapt to this change. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Bible has been used to justify exclusion, inequality, silence, and submission—but are those interpretations as biblical as we have been told? For the remainder of this summer, we will revisit seven frequently misunderstood passages, listen for the voices traditional readings have overlooked, and search for the good news that harmful interpretations have obscured. We will discover that questioning an interpretation does not mean abandoning Scripture. It may be one of the ways we learn to read Scripture more faithfully. Sunday mornings at 9:30am, IRL & online.

We’re proud of you, Brett!

For nearly two years, PADS Lake County's Outreach Team has walked alongside Brett as he worked toward a more stable future.

After living in a barn on a property where he also did work and paid rent, Brett connected with PADS for support navigating homelessness. Together, we helped him obtain vital documents, access resources, stay employed, and take steps toward a more stable future.

Today, Brett works as a Lyft driver and takes on construction jobs. He has built his credit, purchased a new car, and is preparing for permanent housing.

Throughout his journey, Brett has remained incredibly grateful to the family who gave him a place to stay during a difficult chapter in his life.

Every journey is different, but Brett's story is a reminder that with trust, determination, and consistent support, lasting change is possible.

Congratulations, Brett! We can't wait to celebrate when you have a place to call home.

Hello friends! Summertime is a time to slow down - no school, vacations, relaxation, enjoying the warm weather and longer days. Summertime is also a slow time for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). Fewer volunteers are available to pack meals for hungry kids all over the world. Unfortunately, there is no slow down in the number of hungry kids. They still need and depend on the meals provided by FMSC. If you have a couple of free hours this Friday, July 10th from 2:00-3:45pm, please consider joining our Community Protestant Church volunteer group at FMSC, 742 E. Park Ave., Libertyville IL. You’ll get the chance to impact the lives of hundreds of kids in just a two hour shift!

An added bonus - CPC will donate $10 to FMSC for each of your volunteer hours (maximum of 30 hours per person annually)
