The gates at Beech Grove Cemetery are now open. They will be open from 8am to 8:00pm. We do have some restricted areas taped off where there is some standing water. Please be courteous and don’t remove the yellow caution tape or don’t go around it.
We haven’t found any graves that were disturbed by the flooding. Some decorations did float away, we will be picking them up next week and putting them in a designated area so you can come to see if any of them is yours.

For everyone’s safety Beech Grove Cemetery’s gates will remain closed due to flooding.

Update:
Due to extreme flooding in the Cemetery and the safety of the community Beech Grove Cemetery will remain closed until Thursday August 13th. We will evaluate the situation then and determine if it’s safe to open the gates. You can call the office from 8-4 at 765-741-1352 for information.

Beech Grove Cemetery will be closed today due to flooding and power outage.
I will be available to work with the funeral homes if needed.

Here’s some pictures from our preservation/restoration volunteer workday on July 25th.
Thank you to everyone that came out to volunteer your time repairing and cleaning the historic grave markers.
If anyone would like to volunteer with this group our next workday will be on August 15th from 11:00 to 3:00. We will meet by the front gate on Kilgore or look for the trailer and that’s where we will be working.

We have been recruiting volunteers to form a group to repair and clean the historic grave Markers at Beech Grove Cemetery. Today we had are first training/workday. We repaired a broken marker and cleaned a couple others.
We will be doing this every 4-5 weeks on a Saturday from 11:00 -3:00. If you are interested in volunteering contact us at the office and we will get you on the schedule.
