Welcome to worship at Hazelwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Muncie, Indiana. As a Disciples of Christ congregation, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, Communion, each Sunday so be sure to have your elements ready. We also offer a special children’s moment towards the beginning of our worship.

We are now worshiping in person, in the Sanctuary, as well as continuing to offer our services online. Masks are now optional in our building. You may still mail in your tithes and offerings to the church office at 1400 W. University Ave., Muncie, IN 47303. Hazelwood also has a Givelify account where you may give online. This coming Sunday is a sermon request. A parishioner asked Rev. Eric to preach about his collection of “Tambourine Ladies.” Yes, one of the things that brings Rev. Eric joy is to collect figurines and pictures of women playing tambourines. Why tambourine ladies? That is a good question. They are a reminder of and symbolize the paradoxical nature of humanity. Two ladies of scripture, Miriam and Jephthah’s daughter, play the tambourine in celebration. However, there are two very different outcomes; one joyful, the other full of horror. Come and join us on Sunday in worship at 10:00 a.m. to hear more!

This coming Sunday is Pentecost Sunday which is the birthday of the Church, when the Spirit is poured out upon Jesus’s followers.
