Welcome to worship at Hazelwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Muncie, Indiana. As a Disciples of Christ congregation, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, Communion, each Sunday so be sure to have your elements ready. We also offer a special children’s moment towards the beginning of our worship.

We are now worshiping in person, in the Sanctuary, as well as continuing to offer our services online. Masks are now optional in our building. You may still mail in your tithes and offerings to the church office at 1400 W. University Ave., Muncie, IN 47303. Hazelwood also has a Givelify account where you may give online. Jesus recognizes that even in the midst of living in community with the Golden Rule there will be differences. Life will remain unfair. What do we do then as followers of The Way? How many minutes passed between the moment Peter was handed the keys of the kingdom of heaven and the moment when Jesus rebuked Peter with the words, “Get behind me, Satan!”? From “Head of the class” to “Go sit in the corner” in less time than it takes to raise one’s hand to answer a question. This Sunday is the last of Rev. Eric’s “Exclamation Point” sermons. Finally, Peter gets something right! He declares that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. And for that declaration he is given a new name and the keys to the kingdom. This Sunday Rev. Eric will explore answers to the question Jesus asks of Peter and of the other disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” Come and worship with us this Sunday at 10:00 a.m..
