Pastor Steve Smith
As we begin a new year and prepare our hearts for even greater spiritual growth in 2026, we celebrate the leadership and faithful service of Pastor Steve Smith, whose life and ministry reflect more than two decades of dedication to God’s call.
Pastor Smith was licensed to preach in 2001 and ordained in 2007, marking over twenty years of continuous Christian ministry. From the beginning of his calling, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to preaching the Gospel, shepherding God’s people, and building ministries that impact both the church and the surrounding community.
In 2002, Pastor Smith founded and began leading Divine Truth Ministry, a faith-based ministry devoted to teaching, outreach, and spiritual development. This work has continued alongside his pastoral assignments and reflects a lifelong pattern of service, accountability, and commitment to ongoing spiritual and ministerial growth.
In 2014, Pastor Smith became the pastor of Spiritual Missionary Baptist Church, where he immediately stepped into a season of hands-on leadership. Responding to both spiritual and practical needs, he led efforts to stabilize the congregation, restore and improve church facilities, and strengthen the overall operational life of the church. His leadership has consistently extended beyond the pulpit, reflecting a servant’s heart and a deep sense of stewardship.
In 2020, Pastor Smith also accepted the call to lead Greater Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, expanding his pastoral responsibilities while continuing his leadership at Spiritual Missionary Baptist Church. Through this dual role, he has remained faithful in preaching, pastoral care, administrative leadership, and community engagement, guiding both congregations with vision, consistency, and purpose.
Across more than two decades of licensed and ordained ministry, Pastor Smith has carried ongoing responsibility for spiritual leadership, congregational care, and organizational stewardship. As we move forward into 2025, his heart remains focused on building strong churches, nurturing spiritual maturity, and preparing God’s people for the work of ministry.
Join us as we prepare to build a generation of disciples in 2026—leaders who will be rooted in faith, empowered by truth, and committed to changing our communities from within.
