New Zion Baptist Church Mumford, Texas Church The New Zion Baptist Church is a church located in Mumford Texas we are a small family oriented group. We offer prayer to all that want prayer.

The current pastor is Wilbert Sargent Sr from Navasota. Pastor Sargent and family came to us in 2004 and him and his family are a blessing. New Zion was established in September of 1902. We celebrate the Church Homecoming and Church Anniversary second Sunday in September. We are a blessed group the Worships God and Serves Others.

Rev. W. H. Sargent Sr was ordained as New Zion's pastor November of 2004. We were blessed to have 21 & half years with him and his family. Today we lay him to rest at his final resting place. Rev. Sargent was not just our pastor, he was family we mourn but we know that being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We are "The Church That Worships God and Serves Others"
