Everyone is WELCOME at Trinity!

Hope you will make plans to join us on Sunday – May 7, 2023. Sunday School starts at 9:45 A.M.; the Morning Worship Service begins at 11:00 A.M.

Good things are happening at Trinity!

On Wednesday nights our youth group meets at 7:00 P.M. – 8:45 P.M. The night begins with a delicious meal, fun time, and fellowship time. Love seeing those smiles, hearing their laughter, and acknowledging their eagerness to learn more about our Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise Report: The size of our youth group has more than doubled in a month. Thirty-one youth have accepted Jesus into their hearts and twelve have received Christian baptism-with more being scheduled.

God is Good!

Our April Ladies Luncheon was an awesome event. We love hosting the ladies with a good meal, fun and fellowship. The youth and children do an excellent job of entertaining and serving the ladies. Pastor Don Jones always has an inspirational devotion to share. Door prize winners were Lynn Dickinson, Amy Dodgin, Lori Rogers, Kay Ross, and Donna Walters. Thank you Trinity ladies luncheon team. You are the best!

Greetings Church Family,

Tomorrow-Sunday March 12, at 3 P.M. is our Church Conference for Trinity UMC “to vote” on whether to leave the United Methodist Church. The vote to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church is an important one.

Our goal is to become better Methodists in the future apart from a denomination that sometimes contradicts the scripture that we practice here at the local church.

You must be a full member of the church to vote. The District Superintendent Rev. Terry Koehn has a list of all that are eligible to vote. You will be required to sign in on that list. Brenda Scrivner Rev. Terry’s Administrative Assistance will be here too.

Below are important things that you need to know:

1- Everyone must have a picture ID and present it at the time of sign-in to be allowed to vote. (That includes all voting members in your household.)
2- You can only vote in person.
3- Not returning a ballot and abstentions are the same as a “NO” vote.
4- To be successful, we must have 2/3 of the members present to vote “yes” to disaffiliate.

We do not know how long the meeting will last. Please allow for an hour; but if we only vote, and there is no debating, then it will be shorter. No meal is associated with the meeting.

Also, before you go to bed tonight, remember to fast forward your clocks one hour. Yes, Sunday morning March 12, 2023 at 2:00 A.M., Daylight Savings Time begins-we lose an hour.

Hope to see you in Sunday School and Church tomorrow morning and at the 3 P.M. Church Conference.

Blessing, Lois Owens
