The Expositor’s Fellowship - MBC

Due to several issues dealing with scheduling we have decided to postpone this week’s Expositor’s Fellowship. We have had a lot of feedback that Friday mornings are a difficult time for many of the men we are hoping to reach. In the near future we will release some dates that include Friday evenings and Saturday mornings that include the ability to sign up for a preferred date. We have received a lot of great feedback about what we are hoping to do and hope that these changes allow us to be successful with this venture. Keep an eye out on this page for updates. Thank you.

This is a timely article published by The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. As we look forward to the inaugural installment of The Expositor’s Fellowship at Muldraugh Baptist Church, our aim and goal is to preach sound doctrine in accordance with the Scriptures and to promote such fidelity amongst fellow churches and preachers.

God commands that we take “Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all. Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you,” (1 Timothy 4:15-16).

Thank you to everyone for “liking” the page!

The Expositor’s Fellowship is a ministry of Muldraugh Baptist Church located in Muldraugh, Kentucky. At MBC, we are committed to proclaiming the whole counsel of the Word of God (Acts 20:27) and likewise entrusting this task to faithful men who will do the same (2 Times. 2:2).

We realize that there is a famine in the land, a famine of expository preaching that heralds sound doctrine in accordance with the Scriptures for the purpose of revealing Christ and Him crucified for the glory of God. As such, we have begun a Pastoral Apprenticeship whereby men within the context of our local congregation are being trained up for pastoral ministry.

The Expositor’s Fellowship is an effort to help train such men. We are partnering with like-minded churches in this endeavor to invite men of varied gifting and homiletical skill-level to deliver a message on a selected text: 1) A newly aspiring preacher, 2) A student preacher, 3) A preacher with some experience, and 4) A preacher well experienced in pulpit ministry. Following these sermons, there will be a time of constructive and encouraging feedback provided from a team selected as qualified to provide such feedback.

Dr. Jim Scott Orrick of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church will be our featured guest speaker filling the well-experienced preaching spot.

We desire to both invite men who will preach and teach sound doctrine to exercise their giftedness and in so doing to build up the Church with the Word. At the same time, these men will be helped and built up in their preaching by fellowshipping with fellow brothers in the ministry.

This inaugural event will be hosted at Muldraugh Baptist Church on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 9:00 AM. This is open to the public, and we invite you to attend.
