Last Sunday, we gathered to worship the Lord in spirit and truth, Pastor Davis delivered a compelling sermon titled “Intensive Care Unit (ICU),” based on Psalm 23:3-4. His message drew a powerful parallel between our experiences with Christ and a visit to the ICU, resonating deeply with our congregation. The Holy Spirit filled the atmosphere, igniting a sincere spirit of praise and worship. We had church!
After the service, we took time to celebrate extraordinary accomplishments of some of our members:
- Congratulations to Bro. Bernard Stephens, honored as the Polk CareerSource Man of the Year! Among a distinguished group of over 10 business leaders and community advocates, Bro. Stephens distinguished himself by raising over $7,000 for Polk CareerSource’s incentive awards. These awards assist Polk County residents in overcoming job barriers, such as transportation and childcare. This recognition also highlights Bro. Stephens’ unwavering commitment to giving back to the community.
- Happy Wedding Anniversary to Deacon & Sis. Smith! The Smiths celebrated their wedding anniversary on yesterday. Sis. Smith gave a heartfelt testimony of their first marriage and all that God has brought them through over the last 30 years. She spoke of their journey through marriage, separation, divorce, and ultimately, reconciliation —a beautiful testament to love and restoration.
- Introducing Private First Class (PFC) Montrell Knight! We are incredibly proud of Montrell for graduating from Marine Corps Boot Camp. In recent months, he has also graduated from high school, demonstrating his relentless pursuit of excellence. Montrell is a young man on the move, and we are excited to support him in his journey.
Let us continue to uplift one another in faith and celebrate the amazing things God is doing in our lives!
