Some mornings, it’s easy to focus on everything that’s wrong with the world. The bad news is loud. The struggles are real. But as followers of Christ, we were never called to mirror the darkness—we were called to shine in it.

Today, choose kindness when it’s unexpected.
Choose grace when it’s difficult.
Choose hope when others have given up.

You never know whose life may be changed by a simple conversation, a helping hand, or a reminder that God hasn’t forgotten them.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Men, don’t forget JBOB (Just a Bunch of Brothers) tonight at 6:30 PM. It’s a great opportunity to build friendships, encourage one another, and grow together in our walk with Christ. If you’ve been thinking about coming, tonight is a great night to join us.

What if the thing God wants to grow in your life today isn’t strength?

What if it’s trust?

Most of us would choose the easy road if given the option. We want clear answers, quick solutions, and smooth paths.

Yet some of the greatest men and women in Scripture learned to trust God precisely because they walked through seasons where they couldn’t see what He was doing.

Faith isn’t believing when everything makes sense.

Faith is taking the next step when it doesn’t.

So whatever is in front of you today, keep moving forward. Keep praying. Keep loving people. Keep trusting God.

You may not be where you want to be yet, but God is not finished writing your story.

Happy Father’s Day from Vine Prairie Baptist Church!

Today we celebrate and honor the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have faithfully invested in the lives of their families and communities. We are grateful for the men who have led by example, demonstrated integrity, and pointed others toward Christ.

We also recognize that Father’s Day can bring a mix of emotions. For some, it is a day of celebration. For others, it is a reminder of loss, absence, or difficult relationships. Wherever you find yourself today, we pray that you are reminded of the love and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.

JBOB tonight, 6:30 PM. Coffee’s usually ready by 6, so come early if you want to sit and talk before we start.

A man was never meant to carry the load alone. The world tells you to isolate, to handle it yourself, to keep your struggles behind closed doors. Scripture says otherwise.

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” — Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV)

Community is not optional for the believer. It is where we are sharpened, held accountable, and reminded we are not standing watch alone.

And don’t forget — men’s breakfast this Saturday. Another chance to gather, eat, and stand shoulder to shoulder.

It’s Sunday at Vine Prairie. The doors are open and the coffee’s on.

This morning we come to Paul’s conversion — the moment a man who set out to destroy the church met the risen Christ and never went back to who he was. If you’ve ever wondered whether someone is too far gone for God to reach, this is the story that answers it.

This Sunday at Vine Prairie, we come to one of the great turning points in Scripture: Paul’s conversion. He set out for Damascus breathing threats, certain he was serving God by stamping out the church. Then a light, a voice, and three days of blindness changed everything. The man who left to destroy believers arrived ready to become one.

It’s a reminder that no one is too far gone for God to stop in their tracks and turn around.

Is there someone in your life you’ve half given up praying for? Bring them. This is the Sunday for it.

JBOB meets tonight at 6:30 — Jesus Band of Brothers, our weekly men's group here at Vine Prairie. Coffee's on around 6 if you want to come early and visit.
Come as you are. You don't need to have it all figured out before you walk in — and let's be honest, none of us do. We're just a group of men sharpening one another, swapping stories, and growing in faith together.
It might be the one meeting all week where "I don't know, what do you think?" is a perfectly good answer and nobody hands you a honey-do list on the way out.
Bring yourself and bring your questions. We'll see you at 6:30.

The middle of the week can wear a family out. So tonight, let us handle supper. We’ll eat together, then the adults dig into the Word and prayer while the youth have their own service. One evening, the whole family fed in every way that matters.
