Sunday, April 29........................................thought for the day
When you wake up in the morning, how will you start your day?
Will you start your new day by giving thanks to God for another day of life? Thanking Him for the sunrise that wakes up the world?
Do you give thanks for the blessings that He has bestowed upon you? Do you thank Him for each breath of the air that you breath?
Or do you start your new day complaining about things that YOU don't think are going just the way you want them to?
Do you complain about the alarm clock going off too early?
Or maybe it didn't go off at all, and you overslept, again.
God put YOU on this earth for a reason. We can not begin to understand the workings, or the plans of The Master.
We must humble ourselves, and accept what God has planned for us. He has made a path for each of us to follow, and it is up to each of us to follow that path, not turning aside to the right or the left. Yes, we do have free will, and we can decide not to follow God's path. We have a LOT to lose if we make that choice.
God has promised each of us a mansion in heaven if we will only
trust and obey. Trust the Lord to deliver on the promises that He has made to us. Obey the Scriptures that He has set down for us.
God's Word is all we need to make it through this world.
Read tour bible. Study it every day. Pray for understanding and guidance. And walk on the path that God has made for you.
As for me and my house, we will follow the Lord.

Thursday, April 26
Sorry, but things have been really hectic around here for the last few days. On top of the visitation and funeral, we had a bad water leak under the house.
Things are almost back to normal now, thank God.
Remember this, my friends. We must NEVER be so busy that we neglect our time of worship of Jesus Christ.
Without Jesus, we would be nothing. Lost forever.
Nothing is so important that it takes the place of Jesus.
Remember: Death of the body does NOT mean death of the soul.

Brother Dave Williamson and I finished the construction of the wheel chair ramp at Nick and Rosies house today. They both think we did an excellent job. All that is left now is the painting, but we will do that when we paint the whole house a little later in the summer.

Saturday, April 21 .................
Bad news from two fronts.
I am Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but sister "Kat" Rewis, a strong soldier of Christ, passed away this morning at about 11:30.
She was a dear friend, and a long time member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Highland City (Florida)
Then, we got a phone call from our daughter in Illinois, informing us that my wife's sister, Alta, passed away this morning.
I am asking for your prayer for the families of both these dear ladies. The Lord has decided to take them home to their reward.
The wife, and I both thank you for your prayers.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; Then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.........................2 Chr. 7 : 14
We MUST turn to the Lord and ask His forgiveness for the sins that we have committed. Then, ONLY THEN, will He look upon us, pleased in what He sees.

Brother David and I have been over to Nick and Rosie's all day,
building a ramp for them to use getting in and out of their house.
Rosie has been using a walker for several years now, and Nick is in a wheel chair since he fell and broke his hip.
I am just glad that I am still able to help others who need it.

Everyone needs help and uplifting from time to time.
We should never be so busy that we don't have time for a brother.
We all know someone who needs someone who will just listen.
Take time, make time for a brother, or sister.

I went to church yesterday evening. Pastor Frank had a very good message. I really felt that he was talking directly to me. He talked about some things that were going on in my life, and it really hit home with me.
Have you ever listened to a preacher when he seemed to be talking to YOU? Maybe, just maybe it was God talking.
Did you listen? Really listen? You should, because your salvation
is very,very important.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21 : 22
Listen to the words of Jesus. He is telling us that whatsoever we ask, we shall receive. That is His promise to us, and Jesus does NOT break His promises.

Wednesday, April 18
Do you believe in prayer? Do you believe that prayer will change things? Do you believe that God answers prayers?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS?
The bible tells us that God DOES hear our prayers, and He DOES answer our prayers.
We have to learn to humble ourselves, and learn to trust in the Lord. We have to ask Him to deliver us from our afflictions.
I have set aside a time that I use to talk to Jesus. He knows who I am, and I know that He listens to me when I talk to Him.
If you would like for me to pray for you, send a prayer request to me. You don't need to tell me what you need prayer for, just that you want prayer. I will speak to God on your behalf, and I believe your prayer will be answered.
I know there are people out there who need help finding their way to Jesus. Prayer is the ONLY way. Pray today. pray tonight, just be sure that you pray.
Send your prayer request today and find your way to the Lord.
Your salvation is a very important thing. Don't neglect it.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were disolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5 : 1
Believe NOW that when we are through with this earthly house
(body) God has a new one ready for us in heaven.

In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14 : 2
Jesus loves us so much that He has prepared a place for us.
He wants us, every one of us to be with Him in heaven.
Don't turn away from such a wonderful blessing.
