It is with great sadness that we announce that Harley Binon has died.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 11 from 3pm - 5pm. The funeral service will begin at 5pm.

There will be a reception afterwards at Vernon Evangelical Lutheran Church.

We offer prayers of peace for Harley's family in this time.

Come on out for a mystery day of service and fun as we join together with our siblings from Mt Olive Lutheran Church.

Bring a sack lunch, water bottle & closed toed shoes.

Make sure to fill out a permission slip by Wednesday, June 24.

A crew of us got to visit our dear friend, Connie, today. We had a wonderful time listening to her stories and jokes.

She was very grateful for the visit and is thankful for her church family.

This Sunday, April 26, we will be celebrating Quilt Sunday! 107 quilts have been made and are ready to be delivered by a couple of church members out to Standing Rock Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

Thank you to all of the quilters who took time and made these beautiful pieces of art!

Thank you also to all of you that have donated money, fabric, time and whatever else to make this possible!

The VELC Youth are hosting an Intergenerational Dinner for all ages on Saturday, April 25 at 12pm.

This is open to everyone to come and have a good meal while learning more about each other and having a few laughs.

If you are able to attend, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex or contact the front office by Wednesday, April 22 so they know how much food to prepare.

All are encouraged to come and help spruce up the church this Saturday, April 18 from 8am - 11am.

There are plenty of work to be done:
Raking leaves.
Cleaning flower beds.
Removing two cedar trees beside the church. chainsaw?
Cleaning windows.
Dusting the cobwebs from the upper areas of the sanctuary.
Replacing a couple of sanctuary bulbs.
Removing air conditioner covers.
Putting out the patio furniture.
Checking fire alarms.
Something to do for everyone!

If you have any tools or garden supplies, please bring them with you.
