Council 1459 awarded $5000 in scholarships to 2026 graduates of our local high schools. Congratulation to our winners!

Join Knights of Columbus Council 1459 and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Muenster Court #249 on Sunday, July 19, as we come together to honor the clergy and religious of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish.

All are invited to a free breakfast in appreciation of Father Austin Hoodenpyle, Deacon Gary Endres, Deacon Marty Robertson, Sister Jeanette Bayer, Consecrated Virgin Mary Del Olmo, the Discalced Carmelite nuns, and our visiting seminarian Nicholas Goodman.

The breakfast will take place at the Sacred Heart Cafeteria immediately following the conclusion of 8:00 AM Mass.

As a gesture of thanks, baskets will be available where you may leave cards of appreciation or donations for our honorees. Let’s gather in fellowship and show our gratitude for their dedicated service to our parish.

Congratulations to Scout Ivan McCoy on the completion of his Eagle Scout project benefiting the Muenster Museum. For his project, Ivan replaced the weathered and unreadable interpretive signs on the museum's outdoor exhibits. Council 1459 was proud to provide financial support for Ivan's Eagle Scout project.

Today marks a landmark occurrence for Council 1459 - the 50th Germanfest Fun Run, which is put on annually by the council. The event has been a part of Muenster’s Germanfest celebration since its inception in 1976. The first Fun Run welcomed 251 participants. In a May 1976 Muenster Enterprise article, event chairman Dan Hamric shared his goal - to double that number. He more than succeeded.

This photo from the 1978 Fun Run appeared in Texas Highways magazine. The accompanying article noted: “The German Fun Run...attracted 1,353 runners from 6 to 66 years of age, and from as far away as California and Wisconsin.”

To all who have made the Germanfest Fun Run possible over the years, whether by volunteering or participating in it - THANK YOU!

⛳️📸 19th Annual Bart Henscheid Classic Golf Tournament 📸⛳️

A great day at Turtle Hill Golf Course for the 19th Annual Bart Henscheid Classic! From the first drive to the final putt, it was all about good golf, good company, and a fun time on the course.

Proceeds from the tournament support the charitable work of Council 1459, benefiting both Church and the community.
