Mowrystown Area Bible Quiz

A big shout out to Papa John’s Pizza of Hillsboro. They graciously supplied the pizza for our last Bible Quiz meet for the year.
The students scores for today showed how much the students have studied. The season winners were awarded for the year. This is an average of all six meets. The top scorer for the senior division is as follows:
First place : Mac and Cheese (Arayla Montgomery, Chloe Jolly and Merikle Jolly)
Second place: Bible Buddies( Eden Jean Claude and Ashleigh Boldman)
Third Place: The Fiery Furance (Zeke Noe, Raiden Montgomery and Oakland Roberts)
In the Junior division:
First Pace : The Quiz Kid(Canaan Jean Claude, Eli Burdette and Evelyn Schellings)
Second Place : Two Girls and a Guy ( Larkin Montgomery, Pippy Montgomery and Si McDonald)
Third Place: The Bible Bros( Samuel
Jolly, Izyan Jolly and JT Jolly

In sword drills senior division:
First place: Eden Jean Claude
Second place: Ashleigh Boldman

Junior division:
First place : Canaan Jean Claude
Second place: Sophie Noe
Third place: Samuel Jolly

Congratulations on a job well done. Also congratulations to those who are not listed above for they are all winners. They all have studied God’s Word and I am praying that it will make a difference in their lives.

We are planning for our third year of Bible Quiz to begin next October. PM me if you are interested. This is nondenominational, the questions come straight from the Bible!

Bible quiz will be starting soon. If you would like to get a team together to participate please let me know. We meet in the Mowrystown area every second Sunday of the month. We had several denominations represented last year. The questions come straight from the Bible, there are no questions that require interpretation. We also see who can look up Bible verses the fastest. We have a great time fellowshipping with fellow Christian. Our goal is to get our kids into God’s Word!!
We invest a lot of time into sports and other recreation that has little eternal value. Let’s invest some time and energy into teaching our kids God’s Word that has eternal value!!!

Today we finished up the first year for the Mowrystown Area Bible Quiz. The kids all have worked so hard this year! I am positive they know a lot more of John, chapter 1-7 . The ten teams were very competitive. The first place winner over all for Bible quiz was The Bible Buddies( Ashleigh Boldman, Eden Jean Claude, and Eli Burdett), second place was, The Bible Quiz Sisters ( Arayla Montgomery and Pippy Montgomery) and third place was, The Bible Quiz Masters( Raiden Montgomery and Larkin Montgomery). Congratulations!!
Sword drills are individual competition. The Junior Competition winners for the year were: first place: Eden Jean Claude, second place: Zeke Noe, and third place Arayla Montgomery. In Primary competition first place for the year was: Larkin Montgomery, second place: Sophie Noe and third place was Malory Holbrook.
Today the kids had a month off and watched adults take their place in Quizzing. There were grandparents, parents and team coaches that the kids totally enjoyed watching as they experienced the stress of quizzing.
We finished the year with a social time of a scavenger hunt around Mowrystown and then ice cream sundaes. My greatest prayer is that The Word gets into their hearts and helps guide them through life as a follower of Jesus.

Sept. – April at 1pm

Who: Grades 1-6

Team Size; 1-3 persons on a team

September Quiz will be studying Psalms Chapters 1, 23, & 100

All denominations are welcome! We will be using the ESV Bible for quizzing and “sword” drills.

The quiz portion will come from studying the selected chapters of the Bible.

Sword (Bible) Drills are a speed competition. A verse will be called out and each youth will try to be the first to find it in their Bible and stand to read it!

Bible Quiz is a great way to learn the Bible in a fun way with your friends. When we all learn God’s Word, we ALL win!
