🙌🏽We are rejoicing for a blessed worship service today✨

🙌🏽We rejoice!— thank you to those who shared their stories and memories either at church today or by sending them in, and to the visitors for their heartfelt expressions of wanting to help our church to tell our story🙏🏽

ah-ho (thank you) to the ladies of the church for making the fellowship meal so enjoyable: Beans & frybread, Indian tacos, homemade banana pudding, cherry cobbler, fruit salad, & bunt/loaf cakes.

We have decided to offer several other options for interviews to occur for those who have ties to our church. We will share those convenient locations when that info is made available. We will also soon create an email/dropbox for those who wish to submit pictures.

✝️Please enjoy a few photos from today & their captions✝️

As a church congregation, everyday, we are humbly grateful for all military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. We were honored to remember & mourn them on this past Memorial Day.🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

As is tradition, we held our annual Memorial Day church food sale and would like to express our gratitude to all those who came and purchased an Indian Taco and spent time visiting & fellowshipping with us.

🇺🇸Just sharing a little but of history on our annual food sale:

****Some older church members recollect our food sale being held as far back as the 1960’s. At that time, there was a church youth camp held at Bacone College and the active youth in our congregation at that time, was raising funds from the food sale, to attend. Our food sale proceeds always benefit a critical need for our church and we are thankful to God for all those who support.

Historically, a Memorial Day observance and vigil was also held at our cemetery at 11:00 am, for many years. Many loved ones of those buried in our KCA cemetery (old cemetery) and our Rainy Mountain cemetery (new cemetery) would and continue to, pay their respects to loved ones throughout the day, and visit Gotebo Hall to cool off & refresh themselves. Older church members tell us that in the older days, Indian taco sales weren’t popular at that time, and because of this, hamburger plates would be sold. Beans and frybread is also very popular. Regardless of the year, the memorial day food sale has been a joyous time to gather as loved ones, to remember the brave veterans who sacrificed.****

What a wonderful weekend of praise and worship was had and hosted by our church🙌🏽

On Saturday, we praise Daw-K’ee (God) for a spiritually rejuvenating Men’s Prayer Breakfast. A wonderful meal was prepared by our church’s menfolks followed by prayer and praise! The spirit of our Lord was present and powerful🙌🏽
We are thankful for all of the men who came to share and fellowship in this special day🩵🙏🏽💙

On Sunday, we celebrated as a congregation, the mothers and mother figures, on blessed Mother’s Day. We are thankful to Daw-K’ee for all of the cherished memories and the love we have been blessed with from all of our matriarchs. These prayerful women have helped lay our foundation in our church and their prayers-many spoken generations ago-have carried us to this day and will continue to carry on through upcoming generations.

🌼 Please enjoy the photos🌼
