A Women’s Self-Defense class for ages 6th grade through adult will be held THIS THURSDAY on May 21 from 6:00–8:30 PM in the gym at Flatwoods. The class will be led by instructor Bill Brown and is free to attend with no RSVP required. It will be engaging, informative, and hands-on, with something for everyone—including those with limited mobility. Participants will learn important do’s and don’ts, situational awareness, and different levels of resistance, from empty-hand techniques to various self-defense tools. The training will also cover the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of personal defense, with optional hands-on practice using training aids. A helpful guide will be provided in advance for attendees.
