Have you ever thought or said, "I wish God would just show up in person and tell me what He wants me to do"? I know I've said that.
If He did, would we do what He asks us to do? Or, would we be like Moses and give Him a bunch of excuses, telling God how we aren't good enough, or smart enough, or nobody will believe me...
I'm pretty sure God already knows everything about us, and if He is asking us to do something, then He knows we are capable of doing it. The problem is us, not God.
God has already asked us to do some very simple things, like go to church: Hebrews 10:24-25. Read our Bible: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Acts 17:11, Psalm 119:11. Spend time in prayer: Matthew 6:6, Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. If we can't do these basic things, why would God ask us to anything else? My point is stop making excuses.
It all comes down to faith. Do we believe God? Do we believe His Word? Do we believe that He will equip us with what we need to accomplish whatever He asks us to do?
This Sunday (4-19-26) we will be looking at Moses and the 5 excuses he gave to God why he couldn't go and lead the Israelite people out of bo***ge in Egypt. We use these same excuses today. Do you want to be closer to God? Have a stronger faith in God? Feel His presence everyday? Then trust Him, no matter what.
Come worship with us at Forest Dell Community Church, at 9:30 am.
