DYING TO SELF IS A DAILY DECISION. ✝️

We are on day 3 of our 7 Day Consecration.

Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” — Luke 9:23

Notice that Jesus said daily.

Dying to ourselves isn’t a one-time decision we make when we choose to follow Christ. Every day, we have to intentionally choose His will over our own.

Every day, I have to decide:

Will I choose what I want—or what God desires?

Will I respond from my flesh—or follow the Spirit?

Will I hold onto what I want—or surrender it when God says let it go?

Will I insist on my way—or trust His?

And that’s not always easy.

Because sometimes what I want feels right. Sometimes my plan makes perfect sense to me. Sometimes obedience requires giving up something I genuinely desire.

But that’s where surrender becomes real.

Dying to self means I don’t allow my desires to become my master.

It is intentionally saying, every single day:

“Lord, I choose Your will over mine.”

Not because I don’t have desires.
Not because my feelings don’t matter.
Not because I don’t have plans.

But because Jesus is Lord—and I have chosen to follow Him.

As we continue our 7-Day Consecration, let’s be intentional about what we’re laying down before God.

What desire needs to surrender to His will?

What attitude needs to die?

What habit needs to die?

What need for control needs to die?

What part of “I want what I want” needs to die so that we can fully follow Jesus?

This is daily work. Intentional work. Consecration work.

Today, we choose to die to ourselves so that Christ can be seen more clearly through us.

Not my will, Lord. Yours. Every day. 🙏🏾

Meet us tonight at 6:30 pm EST as we break our fast together in prayer.

🙏 DAY 2 — TRUST HIM COMPLETELY

We’re gathering for prayer in just a few minutes.

Tonight is Day 2 of our Seven-Day Consecration, and our focus is “Trust Him Completely” — Proverbs 3:5–6.

There are some things we simply cannot figure out, control, or see our way through. Consecration calls us to quiet the distractions, listen for God’s voice, and trust Him enough to follow—even when we don’t have the whole picture.

Join us at 6:30 PM for 15 minutes of corporate prayer.

Throughout these seven days, we’re being intentional about Scripture, worship, listening, prayer, fasting as God leads, surrendering distractions, and walking in obedience. We are expecting God to reveal, refine, restore, and prepare us for what is ahead!

📩 Want to journey with us and receive the full Seven-Day Consecration pamphlet?

Comment “CONSECRATION” below or send us a private message with your email address, and we’ll add you to our mailing list so you can receive the guide with each day’s theme and Scripture.

You don’t have to be in the building to consecrate yourself. Wherever you are, make room for God this week.

Let’s pray together. Let’s seek Him together. Let’s surrender together.

Mount Zion, let’s prepare ourselves for what God is about to do among us! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
