Chara Vocal Ensemble

Chara Vocal Ensemble Chara Vocal ensemble was a group of High School Students that attended First Baptist Church of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Chara Vocal group was started by Neil Guthrie in the early 1970's. Bob Williamson continued the group, but in 1978 Barney Larry directed the group and brought the group to a professional status. A long play album of the 1980 group was recorded.

For those that May remember Lewis and Jana Barnes, their son Brandt was killed in a plane crash north of Fayetteville Arkansas around 6:00pm Friday night, 1/6/23.

Jana played piano for a lot of churches and quartets.

Lewis had the Shelter Insurance Agency on College St in Mtn Home.

Music and Memories Schedule:

April 30 - Saturday
12:00p.m. - ALL "youth" meet for lunch in Youth Wing of FBC
1:00p.m. - "Youth" choir rehearsal in sanctuary
2:00p.m. - 1980's Chara rehearsal
Break
4:00p.m. - Mass choir rehearsal - Youth & Adult choirs together
5:30ish - Break
7:00p.m. - Concert followed by fellowship in Christian Life Center

May 1 - Sunday
Sing for 9:00a.m. service
Barney will give us a time to meet and warm up before service

It's NOT too late to call someone who should be joining us...and invite them to come!!!

It's going to be FUN! :)
