The Highway 5 South Church of Christ began in 1989, when Larry Darnell and 8-10 Christians decided to form a faithful congregation in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The church first met in a small house. In 1991 the congregation built the present meeting place. Larry Darnell preached for three years but was forced to resign because of bad health. Joe Davis, a local school teacher who helped start the ch

urch, then preached for two years. Jerry Henderson was the evangelist from 1995-2000. John Shadowens worked with the congregation, first as an evangelist, then as elder and evangelist, from 2000-2009. Joe Davis served with him as an elder. In November 2009, Keith Sharp became the evangelist. In January, 2011 Joe Davis and Keith Sharp became the elders of the church.

We'll be together to worship God and encourage one another this Sunday. You're invited to join us.
Our Sunday morning Bible class (10:00 a.m.) will be on 1 Timothy 1. This week's sermon (11:00 a.m.) is titled, "Two Treasuries (Part 1)". After a break for lunch, we'll be together once more to study from Isaiah 2:1-4.

We look forward to being together this Sunday to exalt God, study His word, and encourage one another. We hope you will join us in this worthy endeavor. This week's Bible class (10:00 a.m.) will focus on Hebrews 1. The sermon (11:00 a.m.) will be delivered by Lucas Griggs. After a break for lunch, we'll be together to study once more at 2:00 p.m., looking at an introduction to Isaiah. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

Good morning. We'll be together to worship God, study His word, and encourage one another today. We hope you will be with us. Our Bible class begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by our morning worship service at 11:00 a.m.. After a break for lunch, we come together once more at 2:00 p.m. to continue studying from the Scriptures. We look forward to seeing you today!
