Dear Parents,

Fr. Alex wanted me to reach out to encourage you to register your child as an altar server. We are currently at a critical point where we do not have enough servers. Both boys and girls are invited to serve. In fact, he will be hosting a training session on September 9th at 6:00 PM in the church.

Fr. Alex understands that this may be a bit intimidating, but he wants to assure children that he welcomes new servers and will be patient while they are in training. To participate, your child must have received their First Holy Communion and be willing to attend the training session.

Please prayerfully consider signing your child up to serve at Mass. Mary Jo will assist you in selecting which Mass you prefer for your child to serve.

The Respect Life Office will celebrate Respect Life Month (October) with

the Respect Life Month Youth Art Contest, and we invite all youth from age 4 through 8th grade to participate. The theme of the contest, Mary, Mother of Life, pray for us, reflects on Mary’s role as mother of all the living and our call to cherish and protect every human life from fertilization to natural death. All entries should be created as a painting, drawing or mixed media and mounted on construction paper. The artwork can be mailed or delivered to the Diocese of Little Rock, Attn: Respect Life Office, 2500 N. Tyler, LR, AR, 72207, by September 21, 2026. The artwork will be judged on originality, creativity, and thematic expression.

The atrium’s all got together and celebrated the liturgy of light after our Easter celebration. It’s beautiful to see these children coming together and learning how to pray together and be thankful for God’s mercy and love.
