It starts with a small compromise—just one "little" exception to what God asks. But like a tiny crack in a windshield, that compromise spreads until it costs us more than we ever imagined.

This Sunday we began our new series "Faithful" in the book of Judges. Israel thought they had a better plan than God's instructions. They negotiated instead of obeying. They said "I can't" when the truth was "I won't." And one generation later, their children didn't even know the Lord.

Here's the good news: Jesus breaks the cycle. He doesn't just deal with external problems—He transforms our hearts from the inside out. He stays faithful even when we're not. What is God asking you to surrender completely instead of negotiating? He's not trying to steal your joy—He's protecting you from consequences you can't yet see.

Don't miss this powerful series on God's faithfulness even in our unfaithfulness.

Do you have a student that is looking for a discipleship and service opportunity this summer?

Our first summer internship meeting is this Sunday. We have a great group of young people that are excited to grow as disciples of Jesus and learn about ministry. There is still time to add a couple more:

Ever wonder what makes life truly fruitful? It's not about being in the right place at the right time or working harder. This Sunday, we discovered that a prosperous, deeply meaningful life flows from one source: God's Word.

Just like Jesus declared in Matthew 4:4, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." When we position ourselves before Scripture daily, something powerful happens. God reveals Himself, feeds our souls, and renews our minds. We don't just read words on a page—we encounter the living God who wants to speak directly into our lives.

The invitation is simple: spend 10 minutes a day with God in His Word. Ask three questions: What does this say about God? What does this say about me? What should I do now? When you come hungry and expectant, you'll find the life and joy you've been searching for.

"Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." - Matthew 4:4

What if the life you're searching for is found in the pages you've been skimming past? This week we explored Psalm 1 and discovered that a fruitful, prosperous life isn't about luck or hard work alone—it's about delighting in God's Word day and night.

Just like a tree planted by streams of water, we flourish when we're rooted in Scripture. The Word doesn't just inform us—it reveals God Himself, feeds our soul, and renews our mind. It's not about checking a religious box; it's about positioning ourselves before the living God who still speaks through these ancient pages.

Your challenge: Spend just 10 minutes daily in God's Word. Ask three questions: What does this say about God? What does this say about me? What should I do now? Watch how consistently showing up transforms everything.

God's blessings aren't meant to stop with you—they're meant to flow through you. Are you the Sea of Galilee, teeming with life, or the Dead Sea, where everything stagnates? Kingdom multiplication starts when we invest what God gave us into others. Be a contributor, not just a consumer.

Are you the Sea of Galilee or the Dead Sea?

One receives and gives. The other only receives and becomes dead. God's blessings were never meant to stop with you—they're designed to flow THROUGH you.

In Matthew 25, Jesus teaches that faithfulness isn't measured by how much you have, but by how much you multiply. One seed can produce millions of apples. One Sunday school teacher named Edward Kimball led a shoe store worker to Christ—that worker was Dwight L. Moody, whose spiritual legacy eventually reached Billy Graham and millions worldwide.

Who are you investing in? What gifts, resources, time, or truth has God given you to pass on? Kingdom multipliers don't hoard—they pour out. And here's the beautiful truth: when you multiply what God has given you, you enter into the JOY of the Master.

Stop being a consumer. Become a contributor. Your life is an assignment, not a possession.

Have you ever experienced a moment where God showed up right when you needed Him most? Maybe it was groceries appearing at your door when your cupboards were bare, or a friend speaking truth when you needed correction.

God accomplishes His kingdom purposes through relationships. He created us for community, for friendship, for connection. And here's the beautiful truth: Jesus doesn't just love us—He calls us friends. John described himself simply as "the disciple whom Jesus loved." That's who we are too.

We serve a Savior who weeps with us, pursues us, and laid down His life for us. Greater love has no one than this. And when we're rooted in His friendship, we overflow with the ability to love others well. The quality of our relationships is determined by how rooted we are in our relationship with God.

Of all the things you could call yourself today, know this: you are a friend of God. And He is your true, eternal, best friend who will never leave you or forsake you.
