Brothers and Sisters,

We are excited to announce some details of our upcoming Stake Conference which will be held September 19-20. It will consist of three large meetings and a handful of smaller ones as directed by the presiding authority. The large meetings will be:

Saturday, Sep 19:
(3-5 pm) Ward and Stake Council Leadership Session – All members of Ward and Stake Councils
(6-8pm) Adult Session – All members 18 yrs and older

Sunday, Sep 20:
(10am-12pm) General Session – All members

We will be able to announce the name of the presiding authority as time gets closer.

The presiding authority has asked that we gather together and promises great blessings to us if we do. To follow that direction, there will not be Zoom links sent out, except for those who are medically unable to attend. I know there are many things about gathering together that are hard (e.g. the chairs, parking, travel, and reverence with children during a 2-hour meeting), but the Stake Presidency and the High Council are going to do all that we can to help you deal with those challenges and have a wonderful, powerful experience at Stake Conference. Please do not use this weekend as a time to vacation or leave town. Come, and let us show our faith and discipleship to Him.

We will have more details about the gathering, especially things we will do to help make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone. If you have any questions or would volunteer to help make it a great experience, please pass that through your bishop.

We love you.

Sincerely,

President Mackay

Effective September 6, 2026, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will transition to a weekly Sunday class schedule within its existing two-hour block to further support home-centered gospel study.

Under this new format, the alternating schedule will be replaced by 25-minute weekly meetings for Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women, and Aaronic Priesthood quorums, while Primary will continue as a 55-minute weekly session and sacrament meeting remains at 60 minutes.

The curriculum for youth will shift to the updated “For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices,” while adults will continue focusing on recent general conference messages. By meeting every week rather than every other week, the Church aims to deepen spiritual support, enhance fellowship, and more closely align congregational learning with personal and family discipleship.
