Good Morning Folks!
Update on this morning service, in case our other information failed to reach you.
We will not be having Sunday School this morning, or traditional morning service.
The pastor will have the doors open at 11:00 for a brief offering of communion to anyone passing by.
(Bundle up if you seek this, the Sanctuary will be warmer than outside, but still cold!)
We ask you all to please be careful over the next 24 hours; as road conditions remain severe and the temperature even more so.

We will miss seeing you all this morning, but please know that we "do not" expect or ask anyone to venture forth into these conditions.

Good afternoon folks,
We hope everyone is staying warm during this cold week. There will not be Wed. Night Bible Study tonight. (28th)
The ice build up is still with us in the area of the church, and as we approach the end of our current study; we want to able to gather as fully as possible for the final session.

Good Morning Everyone!
Update for you:
The Church doors will be open at 11:00 for Main Service.
The road conditions are as such: Forge Creek Road is mostly clear, at least in front of the Church. Hubert Taylor, as of this message, is pretty covered up, as is the parking lot.
Please take into consideration your safety before venturing out this morning; just because you can get down the hill, doesn't mean you can get back up it.

Good Evening Everyone!
Upon review of the current weather situation and forecast, we have gone ahead and called off Sunday School in the morning.
We are, at this present time, still planning on having our primary service at 11:00 A.M.

We'll give an update in the morning, based on what we find.
Our prayer is for everyone to stay safe and warm during this winter storm.

Just in case our other announcement systems and signage has failed to reach you, there will be "no" service today due to the weather. We've got a build up of ice on the back roads and parking lots leading to the Church building.

We will miss worshiping with you all today, and hope to be gathered together again very shortly. May the Lord bless and keep you safe during this cold front visiting us today!

Homecoming Celebration Today!
We'll be gathering this morning at our traditional service time of 11:00 A.M. (Sunday School at 10:00) for a time of Worship, Communion, and Preaching; followed by a fellowship meal at the Church Park. I look forward to seeing many of you throughout the day.

Praise The Lord, for the many years, lives, and memories made through the ministry of this congregation!
To many more years to come!!!

Howdy Folks! We've got an announcement for you all about V.B.S:
We are planning on having a one day event on July the 6th in the Church Sanctuary, starting at 3:30 P.M and ending at 6:00 with a Fellowship Dinner over at the Fellowship Hall.
We have been very blessed to recover as well as we have and repair the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Unfortunately, our children's area at said fellowship hall is still under repair; we are hoping to have things right as rain for next year and our traditional 3 night program to coincide with that.
For this year, our theme is a boot camp in preparation for next year's Outer Space Great Commission Program.
This year is: B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)
We hope our local youngsters will join us on Sunday, July the 6th at 3:30 P.M. for fun and fellowship as we talk about the steps we take to prepare ourselves in order to better serve the Lord!

Due to the accumulation of snow, ice and frigid temperatures expected in the morning: We will not be holding services this Sunday. Lord willing, we'll see some warmer temperatures in the week to come and be able to gather soon.

Good Evening Everyone!
I am pleased to announce that we will be meeting back in the Sanctuary tomorrow morning for the first time since Hurricane Helene. These past three months have been challenging, and unfortunately for many in our community, those challenges have only begun.

Join us tomorrow as we return to our traditional services at
10:00 a.m for Sunday School and 11:00 a.m for Main Service; and, as we take an opportunity to lift up in prayer those in our community who continue to face the challenges ahead through this time of rebuild and recovery.

Good October Morning Everyone!
Hammons Chapel will be holding its' annual BOOth or Treat event tomorrow night (Oct 31st) from the hours of 6:00 through 8:00 P.M. while our candy supply lasts. 😄

So many things have been postponed, canceled or forgotten in the wake of Hurricane Helene; the evidence of the rebuild, still very present each and every day. As important as it is, that we continue to diligently rebuild our communities, it is also important that we keep our spirits high, and remember to have a little fun now and again.

If your kids were looking forward to showing off their costumes this year, bring them by and visit with us tomorrow night. If you parents were looking for a quieter evening this year, come on up Forge Creek Road and see us! We'll be over at our Fellowship Hall.
